Hypno's reminder that she is doing ok, actually!

Well I have just listed an incredibly expensive textbook on Amazon & if it sells I STILL won't be buying Shred
.
Well done Hypno on your progress, it is hard but your dad will always live on inside you.
I have just discovered that 6.30pm is a great time to visit the tip - still open but empty :T. Am sorting my garage which is full of my friend's stuff - she will be taking a lot tomorrow & binning the rest, but a lot of it had been 'moused' last year. The expensive book I listed is hers, plus I've listed about another dozen all of which will go. She told me to ditch them but I checked on Amazon 1st - hopefully I'll be able to send her a nice cheque at some stage. Have also stuck some stuff on freecycle which should hopefully all be gone tomorrow.
When are you off on hols Hypno?A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

Off on hols on Monday. Have a family BBQ (OH's family, but hopefully all will be ok) tomorrow, and student goes home in the morning, then mad pack and final clear up Sunday evening, while the children are still with OH, and then away we go first thing Monday.
I went to the tip at about 5pm, and went straight in - was quite surprised not to have to queue.
I have decided to put the "better" stuff, ie not the usual car boot tat, in a box to one side to do a "one off" car boot at the end of the summer, but most things have either already been to a car boot or two and not sold, or really are tat, so can either go to the charity shop or to the dump.
There are several boxes of specialised magazines that I have found a home for, I just need to bring them to the front of the garage and arrange for them to be collected. I won't make anything from them, but know that Dad would approve of what I have arranged, so I am happy enough with that.Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. Sounds like a very productive day :T Well done, it can't have been easy I'm sure but you must feel "lighter" after it.
Enjoy the film!0 -
I am def glad I made a start - I think that it will be easier from here on in. The clothes were the most personal of things that were in there - the rest is probably, in all honesty, of little importance and can be disposed of without too much pain. I have already done the photographs, earlier in the year, which were the hardest thing, so I really do think the worst is out of the way, emotionwise. There is just a huge amount of stuff that has to be checked through before it is disposed of, just in case I have missed anything important!

I am saving that tin for the "you know life can't get any worse when......." day and not a moment before :rotfl:
You should peel the label off it an replace it with the word "WRONG!" in large friendly letters. So when it does come to the "it can't get any worse" day, you can open that tin...

but oh my word, I'm going to have to sit with Z on the couch

Congratulations on the clearing out Hypno.
I haven't bought the shred DVDI've not been well and really don't have the energy. Maybe later...maybe not
I've just put the last of the books I'm wanting to sell on Amazon. It's taken a few weeks to get it all done. I was particularly pleased with the price I got for an academic book I put online last week... until I realised at the Post Office this morning that I'd miscalculated the postage so only made a 7p profit
I've now found the royal mail price finder website, so hope I don't get caught out again. Hope it's useful to anyone making use of the fee-free ebau weekend http://www.royalmail.com/portal/rm/jump2?catId=400023&mediaId=11200122
Have a lovely holiday with your children Hypno and I hope the BBQ is manageable tomorrow.0
