I had a pants day on the whole, so much sickness at work! But on the positive side Scottish Power sent me £90 back today !!!! Bonus! Take it steady Hypno. Did learn an important lesson today though re being organised (which I usually am, very) and how far I have come.
Basically I forgot my lunch today which was all ready at home but I walked out without it and didn't go back as it was persisting down and didn't want to leave the girls standing at the door of the shop.
Was planning to just come home and have it as work is very close but another member of management was off so I couldn't leave the shop for long and had to go to Sainsburys (city centre so really expensive) and get some lunch from there. It only cost £1.80 but I was really annoyed with myself. This is hilarious as I used to buy expensive clothes etc without batting an eyelid but I was fuming at this measly sum. So glad I've found MSE!!!'The road to a friends house is never long'0 -
I am sitting here smiling tonight as just had lots of giggles with DS over growing hair IYSWIM! Our grown up friend has so little he doesnt really need to shave so DS is very proud that he is going to need to shave before his mate

Sorry to but in but about running shoes - it is worth going to a shop where there is either a treadmill measuring your gait or there are some specialised shops where one can consult a podiatrist (usually fellow runners). Too important to be guessing - just like having a really good bra (for women).

Definitely agree with having a go on a treadmill - trainers that feel comfy when you are sat on a stool in a shop, are not necessarily the trainers that are going to feel comfy when you are 3 miles into a 5 mile run!
Download work done for the night, and now back home where I have enjoyed a bowl of cereal for supper, and put clean bedding on my bed......and now off to tuck myself in, and read my book.
I started my day feeling really worried that I was heading for a busy time in my life that I couldn't cope with. As the day has gone on, I have shifted the way that I see it - I meant it this morning when I said that I was pleased I had recognised the potential of doing too much and burning out. That in itself was a very positive thing as it shows I am learning to keep things in perspective.
As the day has gone on, I have been more and more positive and comfortable about where I am heading.
The last few months have been difficult for me, as you know, with only a fraction of what is going through my head actually making it on to this diary for obvious reasons. But the whole thing has been a very definite journey of discovery....I'm still discovering "me" and learning about what I really want, and need, and I cannot deny that MG's challenges have come about at exactly the right time for me, and I am finding the whole process very positive as I look forward.
That doesn't take away the 20 years of marriage - I am not throwing it away and wishing it had never happened type of thing, but I am looking forward to the future, and am not going to dwell on the sadness that is a marriage that didn't go on for happily ever after.
