I love mac cheese but I never know how to cook it myself?
Truth is that it is so long (years and years) since I cooked it myself that I too have forgotten how to do it......but by the end of the day I will have successfully made macaroni cheese and will happily let you know the method I end up using.
It can't be too hard - I used to make it all the time as a child!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -

I've posted a link on my profile if anyone can [STRIKE]rescue[/STRIKE] help her - many many thanks if you do. :A
This only occured to ne in the middle of the night, HOW can I help, if only I knew people who spend as much time as me on the internet :rotfl:
Survey done! Hope DD gets enough answers for her research.
Had to explain to OH that it is never too early in the day for a survey!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:They usually get done in the evening while he watches rubbish on the tely!4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!! Good day Hypno,
I have been following your thread on and off but never posted - you might have noticed that there is much I should learn about chatting. In fact your diaries was one of the first I noticed when registered - and your starting point was very similar. It helped me pull myself together and think that it is possible and my life is not over. For this I thank you.
More importantly, I just noticed your new signiture - well done; the 'toxic' negative wealth is almost gone. I am so pleased for you - it feel just like a marathon that is a loop; you are near the finish line and I am just starting; I want to be there and I am pleased for you.

Let us know later in the day how she is getting on OO - I hope she gets enough respondents, although Saturdays can be quiet on MSE at the mo.Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. Hi firewalker! Yes, I am definitely getting to the end of the marathon, but the problem with a marathon is that after a few days of saying "never again" I want to do another one.....
So, I have to make my next "money marathon" more positive (although getting out of debt is very positive, but you know what I mean!).
Hence the MFiT mission, and I expect there will be a savings "fun run" or two along the waySuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -

I threw out a couple of saucepans this week. I seem to end up with a mountain of pans to wash-yet the reality is I never NEED to use more than two for a meal so the older ones/non stick not so good ones are graduully finding their way out the door. My name is Rachel and I am (trying not to be) a PackRat-oholic.
I should be in London today MSing some car places but was so knackered after yesterday's ones the thought of haring up to London this morning was too much -I'll go tomorrow instead -I realized this particular MS company hadn't paid me for a circuit I did for them last summer -they are reliable so when I chased it discovered they have the wrong IBAN number for me -so a couple of hundred now on it's way-plus this circuit. Pawnbrokers on Monday too-which is a bit different.
Working at 3 so once I get DS out the door to go see his Dad (broken foot apparently still means he still can't possibly meet DS in London so DS has to trek across to Middlesex....funny that as exOH managed a weekend away last weekend Hmmm) I can get into his pit and put up a new curtain rail (hope I can remember where I tidied the new curtains away to) Trying No More Nails-cos I hate drilling.
This week was a rather huge birthday which I chose to try and ignore (no chance-thanks for the fb greetings)
but brother's birthday email informs me 1 I'm auntie and 2 My cousin who is younger than me dropped dead of a heart attack at age 46 (I was in the US and no-one had the wit to let me know in time for the funeral). DS changed his mind about college courses so need to beg them to let him do his new choices on Monday-and Tax Credits having messed up on TWO counts now have my MP on their backs which will hopefully put a bomb under them.
Hmmm pretty busy here ATM no wonder the running isn't a priority right nowI Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole
MSE Florida wedding .....no problem0 -
morning ladies!!! hypno just had a catch up... you went in the understairs cupboard!!!! good for you!! :rotfl: just remember do not throw the mini loaf tin or the avocado knife!!! :rotfl:
I think the toxic thing is one that i need to look at. I can name ten toxic "items" off the top of my head! Not good!!
Happy saturday hon. xdebt @05/11/11 £12210.63!! slowly chipping away!!:heart2:impossible is nothing.:heart2:0 -
duchy you have plenty of time for the running - once you get started, you will find time to fit it in if it is right for you to do so. I find it a great head-clearer too so that might be a benefit for you.
I have second hand saucepans which really should never have been passed down in the first place, so I am hoping that soon I can get rid of them! I really want some Le Creuset cookware so might treat myself for my 40th. They do some lovely colours now, and obviously last a lifetime. My mum has had her set for about 25 years now with no sign of anything wrong with it.
I did throw out my frying pan earlier in the year and replaced it with a 99p one from IKEA, which I have to say is fab. I am passing IKEA on the way home from a ski race next week so may force myself to pop in and look at picking up some cheap saucepans that will be better than the ones I currently have, but won't be so expensive that I can't then justify buying my Le Crueset set in due course!
I have rather a lot of pyrex casserole dishes though.....they are what need sorting most, and making sure that there is nothing lurking in there that is chipped or broken.
Will have a coffee first and then go and tackle it.....Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Had a nip back to read through the 'remove the toxins' list - did something similar to this 5 years ago & ditched the ex and the job and moved to the UK - lol - now the workmates one appeals most
- a very toxic situation has cropped up on the workfront! - a bit confused though - must have missed something - Who is Mr Big??? - thought this was a Hypno brainstorm!!!:D
