  • I used to subscribe to flylady and I just ended up feeling more incompetent LOL

I find I come in from work and collapse in front of this screen, spend all weekend catching up with house/business tasks and swear I will do something every day after to work..............and I don't and so round comes the weekend.

For me the debt is definitely "toxic" - there is good debt, such as my mortgage, which allows me to have something positive, and which provides me with the security of my own home, which is very important to me, but the other debt is toxic because the circumstances that brought it about were not exactly great.

The repurcussions of the debt are both toxic and good - good things that have come of it are the knowledge that money is not everything, that good things can happen which cost nothing, that some things don't have a value, and that I can be very resourceful, as well as the fact that I am hopefully not only learning good habits which will take me forward, but am teaching them to my children too.

But of course all those sleepless nights, anger, and bitterness is rather more toxic.......

It is all about breaking it down and addressing only the bits that actually need addressing I guess!

    THAT is it though Red!

I totally know where you're coming from, and to be honest half the time I don't read the blinkin emails BUT....

That one was eye opening. She talked about spending too much time on the computer when we could be blitzing through jobs that would make our lives easier and help eliminate stress (as she says procrastinating is only just putting off jobs that we should do straight away. They then build and build and we ignore and ignore until it becomes a massive problem that causes stress)

The best thing I've learnt from her is "You can do anything in 15 minutes" It really is priceless.

  • A girl in work got rid of her internet because she spent her life online............she now goes to the library to read mail etc etc.

She was telling us, she cannot believe how much time she has on her hands now!

I can totally relate to that!

Ladies I think we all have to remember too that we are pretty hard on ourselves and that what you lot do i.e debt bust, work AND raise kids is pretty awesome anyway so if stuff is getting in the way of that then it's only sensible to ditch it in favour of the easier life. Now HOW you do that...could be part of the challenge.

Have seen so many negative whingey people on here who refuse all suggestion but you lot are so positive and JUST GET ON WITH IT. It's all about being up for a challenge.

    morning

Send her a pm and she will send you payment details, and in return you give her your address and she will send you the book. I have got the "student" version, as I think it will be good for DD as well as she has just embarked on her A levels.
