Heading towards the end of the week.......am tired this morning, but then again, aren't I always. Too dark to be inspired to do Shred.....am going to have to rethink because the dark mornings are really tough for me, and I honestly don't know if I can carry on getting up mega early to do shred.....might have to think about doing it in the evenings instead. Hmmmmm :o

I reached payout on another scratch today, so £10 requested and will be moved to the savings pot if/when it reaches my account. Having reached payout recently on all my scratch accounts (well, I only have 3!) it will now be aaaaages before I get another payout I expect. Maybe in time for Christmas!

Talking of which, I need to start thinking of what I need to buy for Christmas - I know it is only September, but I don't want to get caught out with no planning, no presents, and no money nearer the time....

Nothing to report in banking today.....hope you all have a good day x

Are you still doing Shred?! Wow, good on you :T That was a passing phase for me :o:D

I bought a Christmas pressie yesterday - it's never too early to start. My favourite time is the Summer sales, but I was a bit busy decorating this year, so missed out....

Have a good day, hope everything's ok xx

Jamie, Shred is a killer exercise DVD - is v.good, but of course, only good if you actually do it, rather than make excuses which is what I have done today!!

Mac, yes, summer sales are all but done now, so I need some careful planning - also, OH family members need careful consideration as they would obv had presents from "us" before, but will now get separate presents and I need to pare back the budget for them as it is only me now.

So, a list will be started at the very least, although the actual spending of cash may wait a little while yet!

Right, bins out, charity bag out, just need to dry my hair and find my shoes in the black hole that is the cupboard under the stairs, and then off to work I go!

    Christmas

Currently don't know which country we'll be in let alone a place to stay. Hopefully will find a house in October in our househunting trip back, and then hopefully could push to be in for Christmas, but if not could be anywhere, but at least we'll be together as a family which is what counts :)

    Sorry for sidetracking.

Hypno there's been no mention of the wonders you've been doing for our wardrobes and image makeovers on the thread, I'm definitely in the new me mode at the moment, still a few bits and pieces to add/upgrade, but in general very happy with the new me.

Hope you find a new slot for Shred that works. New routine for me is a 1 to 2 hour walk in the morning, and 30 to 40 min gym session in the hotel fitness room in the afternoon, all free so very mse :)

Might it be worth doing weekly exercise tick boxes like you do for some of your savings, so that you tick a box if you do either a run, Shred, yoga or skiing, you could use different colours or lines to try and get a balanced mix of activities too.

Hope everyone has a good day :)

I definitely need to focus on the running over the winter months as I have a marathon to run in the spring, and with the use of my treadmill I can fit in runs even on the wettest and iciest of days. I generally don't do shred if I am also doing a run, although sometimes I feel inclined to do both - when I was doing shred every day, then running 4 times a week, I found that brick wall hit me just a bit too often, so I have to get the balance right.

My capsule wardrobe is working well, and with the weight that has stayed off, I am quite content with it at the moment......although I do need to have a go through those last few remaining "bigger" clothes that I held on to "just in case" and be strong enough to hand them on to others. There are also a few primark t's which have been well worn over the summer and are now starting to look a bit past their best, so they will be recycled into dusters or something.....

Indeed it is :D I hope I do not scare her off on day 1.....although she HAS been round and seen it in its natural state, so she should know what she is letting herself in for!

Try https://www.snazal.com and https://www.wotnix.com for their free books of the day. Most of the time it's tat, but I got a Salvador Dali book yesterday for £2.65 postage which will be perfect for my friend's husband. Mr Fresian got some excellent comics from there last Christmas too :D

Can you rationalise which of OH family get presents now. Maybe just parents? Or be creative and make stuff, chutneys, christmas cake, mince pies.
