no need to apologise :o. I've been on here so many years that if 'd done the housework instead I'd have a lovely clean and tidy house!

DH just said "are you on that forum again". I guess because I'm chuckling to myself at everything on here :rotfl:

Compared with the numbers of years gone by, it is indeed tinsy winsy! Can't wait until it is invisible though ;)

Woo woo woo!!! You are amazing lady. I think you have earned the right to say to all who cross your path 'Get out of my way, I'm fabulous!' XXX

  • Do you know what Hypno I have followed all your diaries so have seen all the payment updates but even though I have read it I am still in awe of the figures..I mean it feels like 2 minutes ago that you where still in the 30k's and when I look at it like that I think 'gosh I need to read back to see how the bloody hell she did' :T

Well, in real terms it isn't that long since the numbers were so big that they terrified me. It has been a long old slog to get this far, and I am not out of the woods yet. But yet in some ways, I agree, it seems a long long time since I had those endless bank charge letters every day, since having no idea where the money was going to come to pay even the minimums etc etc

But, as I have said so many times - it is largely down to the support I get on this site.....:money:

It is virtually all down to your grit, determination and hard work - and (to be fair) that of your (X)OH.

It is a thing of beauty crafted by your own fair hand - so don't sell yourself short.

At its worst, when dad died, it was over £100k on top of the mortgage....

When I found this site, it was about £75k I think, although I "hid" the numbers by doing things like not declaring overdrafts, and money owed to family members etc because "it didn't count".....so my earliest diary had a bit of a wishful-thinking figure! I think when I started diary number two, I fessed up to the full picture at the time which was about £66k about 3 years ago.....

So, yes, big numbers, and now not so big numbers :D
