CBC - I love Shirley Conran. I remember reading "Lace" when I was about 14. That book was my education :rotfl:

Same here - but my author of choice was Jackie Collins when I was that age - Hollywood Wives etc :rotfl:

I have to say I can't live without a loo brush, but I change it regularly. I do a Flylady and always keep a good squirt of Ecover toilet cleaner in the bottom of it.

Flat cheap coke left in the loo overnight and flushed in the morning is meant to be very good for cleaning them (imagine what is does to your intestines ). Plus I think it might be borax and lemon juice that is a Kim 'n Aggie favourite. I feel a cleaning frenzy coming on......

Beans on toast is quite nice for a tea sometimes and it's amazing what can be thrown together with a bit of imagination.

    Add garlic - 'les beans'
    Add tabasco - Mexican beans
Add tabasco, some bacon & treacle - cowboy beans
Add oregano, some extra tom puree & garlic - Italian beans
Add paprika and a swirl of sour cream (or cheapo natural yogurt ;)) - goulash beans
Add some dried fruit & cumin - Moroccan beans
Add the bottom of the fridge veg - bean casserole
Add curried powder - curried beans
Add that pack of spices you got from somewhere & cannot remember what's in it - bean surprise
Add the tinned brussels - windy beans :D

Ah the things we chat about on here! Well my time training is coming to an end and I have a pint of Strongbow in my hand to celebrate! Had a good time but home and my own bed are calling me. I'll be in by 8pm tomorrow so I'm chuffed about that. Hypno inspired by your capsule wardrobe chat I made a list tonight of the 24 items that will be in mine and have been throwing out/charity bagging tired bits as well as ebaying for a bit now. I have an image in my head of this sleek, glam woman in lovley shoes but in reality I do my hair and make up nicely but oftn wear slightly tired clothes so this job is the start of a new me. Bought a new dress on discount today and some trusty M and S shoes. Been shortpaid by old job and no idea what i'm getting from this one as I have emergency tax etc to take into account but they pay me Tuesday so not long to go! Hope you're all well and happy de skidmarking!!!!!
