As a mum who sometimes has to use subtefuge to get my youngest to eat veggies, I do pasta and cauliflower cheese together! he doesn't really notice the cauliflower, and so gets some veggies as well as yummy cheese sauce and pasta.

Morning all - Friday again, and just a relatively few hours to go before a long weekend.

10ps only on scratches, and nothing to report in banking - child benefit has gone in, so another few envelopes can be filled, but no room for manoevre still, so no getting carried away anywhere.

The money I got for seeing a client last night will go into the emergency pot. I may have to raid it later in the month, but for now I am determined to give the ultra low budget a go. I still have some bigger unavoidable expenses to come sometime in the next few weeks/months so must not fritter away any "extra" money that I get otherwise I have no hope!

Getting there.....next week will see me nicely in the 7s, although as I say there are a few big expenses coming up which could drag things a bit, but in the bigger scheme of things, it is all going ok.

Can I just say I'm really touched by the amount of money you have all given as I know money is so tight for everybody and the messages are lovely...I'm in tears here...so thankyou to everybody....
Hypno it is a wonderful kind thing you are doing as there is so much that Macmillan do for people on some many levels from providing nurses to equipment to providing transport to hospital ,benefit advisors and many many more things so a big big thankyou for running for them and me xxxxxx
