Morning all - Monday morning is upon us again. It is mid August, but the weather outside gives the impression of being mid October!
Payday is a week away, and I am v close to the wire now, so this week will be one of uber-frugality. It can be done, though, and we have plenty of food here to ensure we don't starve - just milk etc to buy later in the week as needed.
So, off to scratch and bank, and generally get on with the day - have a good one everyone xxSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Morning Hypno,
Good going with the decorating! I love how a room looks completely different with a repaint and a move around:) I have just done this with my hallway and it looks fab (well, looked fab until the leak yesterday!)
Hope you stay in budget on the lead up to payday, I am sure you will be just fine:) xxNovember NSD's - 70 -
Unless anything unexpected crops up, then I should be ok. The car has half a tank of petrol, the cupboards are stocked up, and the children are used to the "last week until payday" scenario, so shouldn't be too demanding!
Student money has arrived, which will cover the cc spends we had while on holiday so that is all good too.Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Good morning. Well done on your decorating efforts, it certainly does smarten up the place. I'm still amazed at all the rooms I re-painted a couple of weeks ago.
I'm now like the "dirty marks" police to make sure they stay that way! :rotfl:
Have a good week - I'm sure the budgetting won't be a problem for you0 -
Nice to have you back, macgirl!
It was lovely to come into the lounge this morning - although it is just the same colour as it was, it looks and feels so much better. Am very pleased we put in the effort!
Hopefully, the same can be said of the hall next week, although I am not so looking forward to the fiddly glosswork - I have the longest bannister in the world (or so it seems when I count the spindles!!!)
I can't afford to get the "big" things done, like replacing bathroom suites, but for the cost of paint and a bit of effort, I reckon that we are making a good differenceSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground.
