Yes, my MiL is retired and is not in debt - though did get saddled with a lot and got herself out of it. She is one formidable lady.
But I thought with you using Asda fuel anyway, it might save you a few bob......

Morning, I got £35 in vouchers this time as picked out some deals, not sure what to do as DS doesnt like theme parks, may go for food as he does like that!

We seem to have some bad bugs in Lincs as the Dr's saw 7 people in 1 day with infected bites. Antibiotics worked at first, then went out on long day and forgot to take them. 1 day off them and its worse than ever, going to ring them later and get another appointment and try something stronger.

DH is ready to get on shredding and also talking about going to gym just a mile away, been trying to get him into anything for ages and now its me thats stopping it all. He won't go on his own.

The figure that is just over £8k at the moment, is the one that I am working towards.

Pippa, hope the bite gets better soon, you obviously have some very nasty bugs round your way!

Right, off to work before I make myself late!

On the credit card debate, we're fans of the cashback cards, we have the balances automatically paid in full from the current a/c, so no chance of incurring interest on the card, and it's very nice once a year to get the 1% or 1.5% of spends back on each card, we use it for nearly everything, we have a couple of different cards, as some places don't take all cards. But we do have tight budget control/monitoring, so we do keep a careful check on spends. Taxi, with these you could buy your diesel etc anywhere.

I've looked into the Tesco credit card, but getting the cash you can spend anywhere works better for us. We were saving clubcard points for a holiday, but then they stopped the deal with that company :(

Pippajo - I thought I was bad with bites, but missed the infections, admittedly I had a really nasty one last year when I visited relatives in Lincolnshire, so maybe it is they have nastier bugs there. Hope it clears up soon.

Hope everyone has a good day.
