Also, the Gadget Shop has a warehouse clearance going on, stocking fillers for difficult to buy for men for 50p-£1. £3.99 delivery is a PITA but if you get a few things it still works out well under RRP :money:

I will convert you all to being early shoppers!

    THANK YOU!!!!! :T:T:T:T

    Im shopping now.

My 12 week NHS one lasted less than 5 minutes, although I waited ages to be seen.
I guess it varies depending on your area (and probably who is doing the scans that day). The longest one I had was thirty minutes because we waited ten minutes for Alice to move after she'd finished doing all the other stuff. And that was the one we were latest into too - I think it was about forty minutes late. They would talk to you and do a few views, then they would do all their measurements and stuff before giving you a kind of "guided tour" of the baby showing you all the features and internal organs you could see. I think my first one (six and a half weeks when I was in hospital for hyperemesis) was only about five minutes but she was like a little bean with one flashing pixel which was her heart so there wasn't much to see.

Susan that is fab :) I might start working on our Christmas present list later I think. You lot have inspired me. (edited to add that so far I've only found things for myself.... I think I am missing the point slightly here ;) )

Em, what is this about house moves - I've missed a memo I think. Will you be moving into your Grans house?

Thats the plan - she wants a smaller place but the house isnt fit for sale or rent without getting a grossly rerduced price, so the plan is to find her somewhere to rent and we'll pay it for her. It also reduces our rent considerably :money: the place she's looking at is £500pcm and we currently pay £600, her house is 3 bed and ours is two! Theres also the benefit that its getting left to me so we never have to move again!

Reason being, DH thinks they are great (and they are, he still has one from 13 years ago) and buys them on offer at £5 each.
