okay quick question
Lo is 18 months, but petiteShe doesn't like her 0-11kg baby swim float anymore, she prefers being more free to swim. I wondered about getting her armbands. Opinions please?

I have had Benjamin in armbands since he was teeny. He disliked the seat because he can't reach the water properly and his movements are restricted.
I have to keep hold of him but it gives him some freedom of movement and me a little confidence that he wouldn't sink immediately if I let him go. He likes to float on his back with my hand under his head!!
I have also bought him a standard rubber ring for our hols.
When you go to CP they have little float jackets for them to wear, they are tons of them hung by the entrance to the pool.please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -
Caitlyn doesn't like the seats either but she's happy enough for me to hold her, and one of the pools we go to has a sloping floor so she can stand up in the shallower areas...
For Aimee I had some arm bands from boots for 0-12 months and then I progressed to swim discs which are pricey, but definitely worth the money, you put 3 on each arm and as they get more confident and more boyant you remove them a disc at a time... A lot safer than letting air out of armbands... I shall use them on Caitlyn once she's a bit bigger...A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Beautiful picture, Delain! Congratulations.
Glad to hear Erin got on well, Caz.
Rmac- I just hold Henry when we go swimming. I think I've said before but he does like the swim seat but doesn't really realise he is swimming when in it. He quite likes it when we play with one of these as I can tuck his arms over it and he floats really well with it. I'm quite excited to hear about the float jackets at CP. They sound fab and I'm sure H will love them!:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0
