:T:T hubby is staying out for the night. Much better than him bringing his drunken butt home to me later with all his lovey doveyness!!
So I can get on with some ironing and packing for the night - only 9 more sleeps until we go on the big metal bird in the sky :j:jplease listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -

Yay for LO's walking, talking and clapping! :TUgh, Morons are re-assembling the gazebo, looks like it's party time again. They only had one night off
I know how you feel. Weve had a right day of it with one of the neighbours. He's harmless but a drunk so since 12pm hes been shouting to everyone in the street. As he got more drunk, he got abusive and made lots of racist comments to my poor DH.I rang the police, his own next door neighbour WANTED to make a statement about the idiot then they carted him off in a van. Idiot.
I suspect he'll be fully United but the time he's old enough to understand! Especially since his Daddy and his adored Uncle are big United fans....I believe his Uncle is in the process of sorting a kit out for him. I did buy him Utd a babygro tho (reduced to £3 in sports direct!!) He will be brought up to be kind to Newcastle tho lol And while Mummy dresses him she chooses what he wears so when he fits into his Newcastle kit that will be on every match day.
We were planning on getting her to wear the kit on match days too. Like today! (I dont know the score yet so please dont tell me.) We only do international rugby in our house- i love Tonga! Our local team are the hornets.got-it-spend-it wrote: »This is the flapjack recipe, Sami! http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.html?p=8626459&postcount=263
It's still raining here, so miserable. Where's the summer gone?
Its been beautiful up here all day! DH is still outside on the front playing footy with all the kids!
Well, im off to bath our dribbly baby- I think we may have to start putting bibs on her soon.
And thanks about the advice about DH and bedtimes- I did multiquote but I think I must be doing something wrong as I always lose half of them. I will just point out that we used to keep her on the sofa with us, but I noticed she would go to sleep at 8 every night and the TV would often wake her up, making her hyperactive as she would become over-tired and then not sleep til stupid oclock!First baby born 10/06/10:heartpuls 6lb 10z:heartpulsI love my little family0 -
You can only multiquote 3 Michelle - it uses the last 3 you clicked.
Your hubby sounds like fun - out in the street playing with the kids!!
I put Benjamin upstairs for the same reasons - also it was nice to be able to talk normally or laugh without having to worry about waking the baby.
Benjamin went into his own bedroom at 12 weeks and TBH we all slept much better for it.
I think that the BF thread is hilarious - the amount of mis-information and short sightedness out there is amazing.please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -

One of my Mummy friends and I are looking at going to more groups in september when the schools go back. One of the things we're looking at is Chatterbox, only we cant figure out what it is! It's mentioned on the sure start lists of classes/groups so I'm guessing ir's nationwide. any ideas? Also can we take little babies to an under 2 stay and play or is it meant more for toddlers?
What groups/classes did everyone else do with babies? I'm looking for some inspiration! We;ve got our names down for aquababies and will be going swimming ourselves in the meantime. We're also going to go to rhyme time at the library. we met at breastfeeding group but we're not going back as hardly anyone goes and some of the peer supporters just hog the conversation!Mummy to Thomas born April 27th 2010 8lb 5oz0 -
Evening all..
*hugs* and yays as appropriate..Hope everyone is well
Busy busy here.. at work Mon-Wed, out for tea with friends Mon and Tues, going to Nottingham on Wed night, Notts hospital appointment on Thurs then back home to pack, doctors on Friday morning and off on our jollies in Friday afternoon. One night in Telford, then off to a cottage in South Wales for a weekOff work the following week, but Rhys and I need to go out a lot to leave OH at home in peace to revise for some exams he has on 9/10th
Rhys and his raspberry blowing is getting annoying now.. He keeps doing it with food in his mouth  When he's near the end of a meal, I just stop and take the bowl away (then I get the "oh but mum.." look ), but when he's just started eating, and I know he's hungry and really needs to eat, I don't know what to do...I give him a disapproving look, he drops his head cos he knows he's been naughty, but then I have to keep letting him eat cos he's hungry but another few mouthfuls and he does it again! *sigh*

Evening all,
It's been scorching here this afternoon, so we've had DH's family round for a BBQ and had the paddling pool out. We've had our niece staying for the weekend, so it was nice to see both girls playing together.
We've got a severe weather warning for flash floods and winds up to 45mph tonight though, so a bit of a change!My_Fathers_Daughter wrote: »FWIW I used to live 10 mins from the Monkey Forest and my parents live 10 mins max from you and I used to do door to door in just over an hour. Sami - yay to Ed's "mama" and his walking. We still haven't had either here, although her balance when she stands up without holding on to anything is getting better. Well done to DH on his promotion too.
Jillie - well done to Kian for learning to clap. It sounds like his food intake is on the up?
Claire - Caitlin got a pop up princess castle for her birthday and we can't get it back into the bag it came in. DH took it out the first time and said it just sprung into place so quickly that he didn't have time to see how it was folded.0 -
Gill - there is a babysigning company called Chatterbox. I don't know if it's nationwide though.0

Hi, to be honest I didn't go to many. I went to a surestart group and wasn't impressed. We did a 7 week swimming course with surestart though which we did enjoy.
I ended up going to a play group at a local church, and enjoy going there because of how laid back it is. I'm not keen on set routines at groups, my baby decided to feed during the singing time then went to sleep before they got the massage bit! lol. I guess it's easier with older babies/toddlers though?
I have never found it easy to go to new groups, I'm not confident enough and a lot of moms were already friends and in a 'group' at one side of the room in the surestart one, which put me off. It doesn't hurt to say hello, some were just plain rude!
