Hi all
I met my OH through a computer game!
Hope the Baby Whisperer approach works for you Glam, seems like a good startI really liked her book but our reflux/pain in the night problems meant we couldn't quite follow through.
Many cheerings for pinkpig23 months is shortish but that doesn't have to make it harder I think. It will all work out fine
I and my brothers were 23 months/23 months separated and my mum coped surprisingly casually as far as I can tell
Somebody posted a lovely baby pic this morning (or last night?) and it has been such a very long time that I have since forgotten whobut I remember liking it.
We still help Elijah eat off and on to make sure he gets food down him rather than getting bored/distracted. His favourite thing is, from his highchair in the kitchen he can see several different boxes of tea - he will demand to play with them one at a time in between "courses"
I agree with splitting the meal up/giving more and smaller, it's what works for us - E typically has a shot at around 5 meals a day, and sometimes eats very little at 1 or 2 of them but that's fine. Plus occasional other snacks and aggressive scavenging from daddy's supper plate.could you split it up into a starter, main and pudding - different bowls/cutlery or make his earlier snacks larger so that he doesn't ahve to eat so much in one sitting?
ALl the boys we know eat so much - LO isn't that fussed:rotfl:
We had my parents' 40th wedding anniversary lunch today - just family; our canvas print 'mosaic' pictures were very well receiveda nice time had by all but poor OH was completely exhausted by it and had to sleep for 3 hours after we got home...!
I was playing with E this evening in the nursery... he was demanding I get on my hands and knees to make a "tunnel" for him to crawl through. I was topless (;)) and after a few crawl-throughs, he stopped, rolled over, and started ... fondling... my chest
I asked him what he was doing he said "Testing!" <fondle fondle> "Testing dadden" <fondle fondle> "Dadden NAKED!" <cackle gleefully>0 -

I think we have been co sleeping a little too much here as T sleeps fine in our bed but is a bu99er if I move her pack to her cot! I dont think she likes her cold mattress and prefers our bed cos it smells like us. Anyhoo, am up early than I wanted today as twonk of an OH left a full glass of ribena on the window sill and me being a clutz managed to knock it off and it went every where, take into consideration our bed is under the window!
Som, I sometimes leave my nightie in with Erin so it smells like I'm there when I'm not in bed. Also a tip for when it gets colder is to warm her bed up first with a hot water bottle - just remember to take it out before you put her in.Mum to DD born Oct 2009

Bruno - fab pics! He looks so much like you
Tres gorgeous
r.mac - I tend to get worse as the alcohol sets in
OH tells all his mates in work about my gaming passionand the guys in my work (who are pervs) just wanted to know what I was wearing whilst playing (yes, they are that bad!)
Anyways, off to bed now. First night in god knows how long J hasn't grumbled! Can't believe I had the book for so long and never read the last chapter about changing habits
Am off to a playcentre with J and Mummy friends and babies tomorrow morning, looking forward to it.
Good night my lovelies. Hope everyone has lovely sleeps!
Bruno - it was a rather gorgeous pic of Hammy's David on a rocking horse this morning.A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea
Where does the time go? :think:0 -
Sorry to hear of some bad nights for Hammy, SS, Ladybird and I am sure others
Has anyone had an Amadeus 360 cup? Lots of people on the net say good things, and we now own one, but I can't drink from it... E seems to like it but the cup is pretty much as full as it was when he started on it 40 mins ago... I'm wondering if I am a complete idiot or what!
Have fun today meet-people!...
Cheeky...was there some assembly trick to make at the time of first use or something though?? It seems possible to get drink out of it as it is but only the tiniest individual drops (and my power to suck is large  when compared to a 2 year old). Boggle. I have even searched the net for "how to" videos but no luck

Went to the Cinema in the evening to see Knight and Day (great film btw) and Nana and Grandady sat Tahlie for the first timeAccording to MIL she was perfect
She ate her baby rice which MIL made up a bit thicker than normal (after the banana eating we thought it would be better). And even better news she drank all the milk I expressed for her from a bottle, after never taking to one before. MIL tried the TT CTN first and she didnt want it, but loved the MAM silk teat one
Oh and so far (touches wood) no more nipping since tuesday!fattybooboo wrote: »...
Does anyone here use a mei tai sling? Seen one on ebay but not sure if it's a bit late now to get one to use with T as he is over 21 Lbs.

MDW Fritha showed me a site that has kids mei tais for £5 I personally say get a scarf like THIS or THISHe's just in 9-12m. I'll try Matalan tomorrow thanks!

Hello stranger, was thinking about you earlier
Did the canvas turn out well? Were our worries unfounded? Would you buy another?
Benjamin loves those tunnel kind of games! He goes for tunnels that just don't exist and pushes with his hands/head until whatever parental bodily part gives way and makes a tunnel for him...more than once I have thought he was trying to burrow back in when sitting on the floor with him
Gill - I like it - says what you need it to say without sounding twee xx
My hubby has gone to bed  this is unheard of! It may be because after 6 weeks of barely drinking he bought himself 8 cans of cider today and is at least half way through them!!please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -

I think the canvasses turned out excellentlyyour worries had a hint of truth in them though, in that the tile images are pretty small and challenging to really examine, but the effect of the whole is great so tis fine. I would indeed buy another and in fact OH wants one for Christmas
E has always loved these tunnel games since he could crawl well, but the naked chest examination is new
Edit: Thanks for the reassurance SamiE does like the cup, it's just not quick or effective to really drink from - I spose we'll keep it.
