Benjamin and I had our first really frustrating conversation this morning. We were in the car on the way to the CM and he was excitedly pointing at something and saying 'gog gog' (or something like that) and I hadn't a clue what he was talking about I kept asking if it was x - dog, lorry, trees (?), hot dog - but he just kept saying no and 'gog gog' and pointing. He got quite frustrated and upset that I didn't understand what he was saying and I got all because he clearly wanted to tell me something but I couldn't work out what.

Wish I was at home but I'm not; just on a long boring conference call that I can largely ignore.

Even at 2, we still have loads of those conversations MFD - especially me as I spend less time with E than OH does - he gets veeery annoyed with me if I don't get it by the third repetition or so. (I meant to say before MFD, except for the sleeping, Benjamin just is sooooo like E was and largely is it pleases me)

Random, but... I don't suppose anyone would happen to have a Canon Ixus 80 IS in pink, lying around that they want to sell??

I've been looking for ages but can't find... My friend lost hers and her mother bought it, so hell will break loose

I think childcare is just about being happy with your choices and not having to question yourself internally as to whether your child is getting the care it needs - I think that applies to EVERY type of childcare from daycare to family members and babysitters. I wouldn't leave Benjamin with 2 of my SILs because I think there would be too many questions in my mind about how they would look after him - I might in an emergency because they are family and they love him but in general I would be more inclined to leave him with the PW than with them


I knew that these 'trying to communicate' conversations were coming, the first one just made me sad - he was SO frustrated bless him.


You have commented on Benjamin and E's likeness before Bruno - you must be getting old if you have forgotten
As for the resemblance - clearly superior parenting :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Oh poo, I got a job interview for a great PT job back when we were looking at Sevenoaks as a possible area. Now it's too far away .

SS, you should copy/paste that !!!!!! statement in the discussion thread about the poll...it's a hoot! And I thoroughly agree .

Thanks everyone, I am glad I am feeling more 'normal' or as close to normal as I ever get lol...

I can't believe we are practically at the end of week 3 of the school holidays, only 2 and a bit to go....not that I want rid of course, in fact I have actually enjoyed the time with the older 2 these past few weeks. My mum came yesterday so we could take the older 2 swimming again and it was fabulous, we went to a different pool and te kids LOVED the slide so we might try and take them to stoke-on-trent waterworld before the holidays finish, as it is full of slides there.

oh and my mum was thoroughly jealous that my 7 & 9 year olds have iphones when even she hasn't got one haha x

MFD - I am thoroughly jealous of Benjamins talking.......very pleased he is doing so well though:D

Bruno - Cute E story as usual:) I hope Mrs Bruno is doing well, you must both be getting quite excited, as it is well over the halfway point now. I forget, did you still have a lot of baby stuff from E that you can use or are you having to buy lots again?

MFD stop being so wise!!! Its exactly what I thought when I read brunos post/link:D except you managed to communicate that in less than 6000 baby-style words. Oh and I'm having those frustrated conversations as well. It gets better......

needing help/advice does anyone use/have a trunki suitcase?
I really want to buy Annabel one. we have a couple of trips coming up and thought it would be great for change of clothes/toys/colouring books/snacks etc even if she is probably too small to ride on it yet. I wondered about also getting the bag which fits inside and/or as a car travel bag. first question is what do people who haave one think of it and second what colour options are there for the bags? I can only find a pink or blue one but was fancying a bumble bee suitcase and I'm a bit funny and like things to match :D I think it would bother me if they didn't match:rotfl:
