well annoyed was gonna wrap sisters presents while Landen sleeps..... plan a aborted.....

got a load of cards to write though so will get on with that.

Sometimes its a bit of cleaning etc, or if you're lucky some of the jolly old boys dont even want anything back, they just want entertaining away from the missus when its raining and they cant get in their gardens :rotfl:

Just looked at the site, seems to be only in the south where they do that. I am a bit wary of having random strangers in the house though. I think my best bet is probably going to be for the ex to come for a few days and he can take the kids out for the day while i crack on, at least then he could do the hard bits and advise me? I really want the hearth out but my 'mother' said i should do as little as possible if i am wanting to move!! She has a point but i am trying to get it sell-able in case i can get a swappee to view??

She has a point, no point wasting the time/energy/money if you're not going to benefit. I imagine its not a make or break issue the hearth....

Would you not stay in the house whilst someone does the work?
I must have missed a part of the story, i didnt think you and your ex were on speaking terms.... im so confused (not hard though to confuse me :rotfl:)

I can spare you a day if you like, end of the week, my parents can watch L and the dog, gets me a day off from them, and it'd help you out.... all i ask for in return is a cup of tea and a cake or two :rotfl:

Ah we're not really, we're always sending snipey texts to each other, and can't hold a phone call for more than a few mins without getting over-irate or upset lol! But he does want to see Amber (i've never flipping stopped him he's just a d!ck).
