On the subject of people saying inconsiderate things, I took H to my grandparents yesterday. He was whinging a bit before lunch, which is quite unlike him but he was hungry as it was lunch time. My grandad told me that he was probably crying because he was upset that I had left him all day the day before while I was at work . Yeah, thanks for that. That's a really helpful thing to say:p!

SJ- thanks for your photo explanation :p. I'm off to have a look.

Awww that's a really inconsiderate thing to say, but typical of men, and old people :/

And you're welcome. I just thought to myself, I thought it was really funny, and DH laughed like mad when he looked through all the photos of "him" that had been added, but bet everyone else thinks either I'm really sad, or we had a really crap holiday, or both!
  • And GISI what a mean thing to say :( I'm normally one to give people the benefit of the doubt and say things like "I'm sure he didn't mean it like that", but I can't think of any nicer way that he could have meant it. Sometimes people don't think.

elle :T Yay for Rhys needing walking shoes :j
Can anyone tell me what that mat thing was called that was reduced from Argos the other week / month? It had grass printed on it. Stupidly I didn't get one at the time and now I'm thinking I NEED one!! Or if not, can anyone suggest a wipable large mat that I can use under the highchair? We have carpet in the dining room and living room and that plus baby eating is not a good combination.

I have a spare Argos one, if you would like it? I could bring it to the meet with me :D

Evening! We had dinner at 4pm, which was ridiculous for us as we normally eat after 8pm, and it was a crap dinner and I didnt eat much of it, and OH is working tonight so I may have ordered myself a pizza

  • Ooh, we're off to a car boot tomorrow! I love a good car boot sale.

To be fair, my Grandad didn't say it in a nasty way. I think it's just that he's of the generation where women stayed home with baby, and in his mind leaving H with his Dad is pretty radical!
