Controlled crying has done the trick - she moaned when going to bed, but I didn't have to gp back in and she slept through. Now it is the 6th time I've had to do it she definiely knows the rules, just tries her luck when I let her get away with it

The thing that is making me a bit
about ebay is that I really want to buy a faux Prada bag. I can't afford a real one and want a good fake. You can buy them on the street all over Italy for €10-20 and I want one - but because ebay are all about not being seen to allow the sale of fakes they're absurdly expensive
Yes, I know, I shouldn't be wanting one and the rest of it. But I do.Should I leave neutral feedback as this wasn't stated in the add, otherwise am really happy with it.
Email the seller first and see if they'll pay for the replacement valve. Can I ask those of you who have slightly older babies who are mobile what you do with them once they're crawling/wriggling about while you cook tea (for example!)?
We have a travel cot in the kitchen so Molly can stand up and watch what's going on, or if there are two parents home the one who isn't cooking is watching her. She was happy before she was standing to do laps in it and wave Winnie the Pooh/bash a noisy toy so long as she could look up regularly and see a parent nearby.
Molly also has a bead maze and loves it, although is not very good at moving the beads around :rotfl:
Oh, I forgot to say - she was just finished feeding this morning and I pointed to my breast and asked her what it was. She smiled and said boooooooooooooooob

Morning all, thought I would be first on but see that I am not although I have actuially been up since 10 past 6!!
OH had a lie in for an hour today (my turn yesterday) Not too bad a day today, few jobs this morning like going to pay for our new spade at Horticultural shed and then me off to work in the pub at lunchtime. Got some friends coming round later with their kids to return the favour of having a BBQ as been to theirs for about the last 5 weeks running (very :money:). Just hope the weather brightens up......
Hope everyone else has a nice day.Mum to 2 lovely boys who keep me busy.0 -

I'm still debating getting a jumperoo but DH is worried about the space it will take up. The description says that they fold up for storage. Do they fold to a reasonable size so that they're not in the way all the time? Has anyone got a Froggy Entertainer? It's much smaller but has nowhere near as many activites and isn't much cheaper. I just want somewhere I can safely put him for half an hour while I prepare tea.
EA - you got a really good price on your jumperoo. All the ones I've been watching have gone for £50 - £60
Sorry I've not had a proper catch up but we've been out most of the day then I had to prepare for my first mystery shop that I'm doing tomorrow. Lots of hugs for Caz. GISI - I'm very tempted to get one of those units from Lidl as well. Is it a special offer or a line that they always carry?
If OH is home then he watches H while I cook, if not then I often put H in his highchair in the kitchen with a couple of books or toys and a drink and he is generally happy there long enough for me to make dinner. The jumperoo has been great but I do feel like H has lost interest in it now he can crawl/cruise. I guess he might regain his interest when the novelty of crawling has worn off though.
The shelf unit thingy is a special offer which ends today (Sunday) I think.
We bought the graco carseat from asda so my mum can take both boys if needed (I've always felt a little uneasy about no one having the means to take both safely in an emergency
paranoid?), my sis can easily take Chris out when she's home too and also got one for ILs so now Chris can have his pick of chauffeurs
I have been meaning to say those with LOs turning 1 soon, do your bubbas have a bead maze? if not that is a good present idea IMO, I'd forgotten about ours until Ed spotted the one at Alder Hey and loved it, ours is just the ikea one and he plays with it loads at the mo
http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/80014041
We have the bead maze too and H already really enjoys it. Definitely a good toy for the money.
My Mum and MIL each have a carseat for each for ease of visiting.
I meant to say Kindof that you might find E doesn't grow as quickly as you expect over the next few months. H was 18lbs at 20 weeks, but the next time I had him weighed (at 35 weeks) he was still only 21 lb 4oz yet was still on his line (75th for height and weight). I think it just slows down as they get mobile. I was certain H was going to be about 25lbs!
Ladybird- I'm glad Izzy had a good night.

We picked up our Mura its lush and in really good nick
A little miffed the tyres were flat when we picked it up so had to go out and buy a pump, and one of the front tyres wont stay up because it has a dodgy valve so will need to replace the innertube. Should I leave neutral feedback as this wasn't stated in the add, otherwise am really happy with it.
I agree with SS, I'd email and ask her to pay for it seeing as she didn't mention it in the listing. So you're buying from him, right? :rotfl:

How much can you get a flight to Italy for?! Cheaper than a real bag, I bet!

I used to say "a baby... Which is a shame cos D really wanted a puppy..."I got fed up with people asking me "do you know what you're having" so I used to say "Well I'm told it's a baby, but the husband is holding out for a ps3!"
I "think" I might have some on the way... I got an email the other day thanking me for my order so I'll just see if any money goes out this week... It's a really stoopid website for ordering from though!!A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... Thanks for the advice everyone. I have a travelcot and his highchair so I think I will try those ideas and leave the jumperoo unless I find an amazing bargain. The living room joins onto the kitchen so if he will watch TV and play with toys on his own I can try that too. A few people have said they lost interest in the jumperoo once they were mobile GISI. (Think Glam said the same about Jack) and that's what's put me off tbh T is very strong physically and spends a lot of time playing on the floor in his mat (he's preferred that to cuddles from being 4 wks old lol) so I suspect he may be mobile fairly early
DH is having his lie in this morning which means he won't be up until at least 10.30. I can't complain tho as he did a nappy change for me in the night. T's poo is still a funny colour but he's going a more normal number of times now so I'm not too concerned. The only thing that bothers me is his poo routine change! We never used to get poos at night but the last two nights he's had to be changed at 12/1ish then again at 4
He goes down again relatively quickly with a bit of help from Bubbles the Seashorse

I tend to just let him roam about
if I'm about to drain hot water off something I get OH to take him but other than that he entertains himself chasing a ball around or climbing up boxes and things.
Go Alfie :j
Well done Molly for saying Boooooooooooooooooooooooooooob
We still don't have many really words here, he babbles loads but the only definite words are Dadda, Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm (generally when food is around but I like to think he's saying Mama), a version of Hiya and thats about it. I lot of them time he mimics what we say so yesterday I said 'Where's your car?' and he said 'AR' and the other day I said 'aw, are you kissing the mirror?' and he said 'ewa' which sound like mirror.
The ride on has been a big hit :T He likes to push it around and use it as a walker which is fab!
Lady - fab news on the CC working!
That bead maze is fab - will get one next time I'm near IKEA

the fit finder should tell you if the first class is ok in your car Britax - Fit-Finder
I could be wrong (I'm sure som will correct me if I am
) but as I understand it the weight isn't really an issue, as long as they physically fit in the seat its ok.
Fwd facing is really something you want to put off for as long as possible, just think of the forces that cause grown ups to get whiplash and the damage that could do to a baby with weak neck muscles.
Thanks for the link the Britax First Class one would fit our car
Yeah I will def keep him facing backwards as long as possible, I just really hate the seat he has got, I just wish now we hadnt got a travel system lol
He could have had this lovely seat all allong, and I think the graco pram is just too biggisi wrote:I meant to say Kindof that you might find E doesn't grow as quickly as you expect over the next few months. Yeah I didnt think of that, I should have looked in the book to see roughly where he would be on the centile line lol, he's inbetween the 75th and 91st at the min, they dont do his length here
he was on the 99.6th centile when he had his special care follow up appointment when he was like 10 weeks old, but hes not been measured since then
