Thanks Glam If I ever get my scanner working again I'll scan in a pic of me at the same age, looks like the same baby like MFD and Benjamin's pics from the other day.

He has eaten loads! His favourites are steak and Yorkshire pudding! Hasn't turned his nose up at anything yet and he's had all sorts.

ETA just phoned my dad to ask him to email the pic of Alfie eating the steak actually as that was fab. Just need to see if he can manage to send an attachment now, I'm not convinced he will!

Right I am going to go see fi i can do my bathroom before Alfie wakes up.

Jack isn't that heavy now but he wouldn't entertain it once he was mobile so it only got a few months use.

Lily hair is getting so long! She also has about 8/10 strands of super long hair.

As Jack has many toys, instead of giving him presents, we would your company in joining us for a meal to celebrate his birthday. There is a range of meals to suit different budgets and there is the option to eat outside weather permitting.

Sorry guys I didn't explain myself! I made stock yesterday with a carcass from a chicken I had slow cooked...although I didn't put the skin in because I am low-fatting!

I added carrots and onions and celery and then blended with some chicken pieces and salt and pepper.

Everyone else beat me to it but you needed to use bones rather than meat, then for soup add the meat near the end otherwise it loses its flavour but doesn't really flavour the soup (not sure why not but it just doesn't!) I have had a mega-strop this afternoon. When Benjamin was in the bed I suggested that we play on the Wii Fit...we all 'weighed in' and then when DSS and hubby did a few games I was pottering, tidying and stuff but still around and nobody bothered to give me a go. When I asked if I had missed my turn hubby ignored me to start with and then waffled on about me 'being busy' so I kicked off

I am just p1ssed off that I seem to spend my whole weekend running around making sure the family are happy and then they can't even be bothered to let me join in the game...and to be forgotten (which is basically what happened) is just an effing insult.

Ooops - it would appear that I am still quite angry :rotfl:

MFD I would be annoyed too - did they think you'd stopped playing or were they just being obnoxious?

Molly's been a horror all day, constant whinging to be picked up, but as soon as she's picked up she slides down onto the floor and then whinges because she's on the floor. No interest in playing with either of us, refusing to go to sleep (about 20 minutes sleep all day :eek:) and won't play with us/with her toys/with us with her toys. Won't be carried around while I do other stuff, it's been about three hours straight of Waaaah *up* slither *down* waaaaaah *up*.

Steak pie and chips for dinner. Nomnomnom. Oh, excuse me. Waaaaaah *up*

Thanks all for good wishes for OH today sorry I've not been on all day, last barbecue guests only left a few minutes ago.

OH felt basically fine ("just a bit weak") this morning so no A&E for us. Instead spent morning in increasing flurry of pre-bbq activity - hampered by, early on in proceedings, cutting finger very deeply while slicing limes... bled for about 15 mins while I pressed ice cubes to it etc, reopened twice over the next couple hours when I first cut it I kind of leapt back from the chopping board and flung my hands up in horror, now there is this blood spray pattern across the kitchen ceiling

Then I scrubbed floors, made guacamole, potato salad, corncob marinades, and an awesome and huge chocolate cake filled with whipped cream, raspberries and strawberries (from a cake mix, there are limits on a day like today). We had about 15 people over, including 4 other little children under 3, ate much barbecued meat, and E's best present is a very proper chalkboard which he is very pleased with! Unfortunately the rain kicked in after about 2.5 hours, and trying to squeeze everyone into small flat was hard, but it didn't ruin things.

Elijah was absolutely wildly excited for 2 hours, then just passed out from exhaustion - he actually slept in his cot for 2 hours despite 18 month old screaming fits right outside his door and the like

Poor OH managed very well throughout but as soon as the last left was shouting "Oh god I NEED a butt massage help me I can't stand up any more" :eek: she has rather overdone it posturally!
