  • Happy Birthday Ambertronic!

I definitely saw 18-24 month sleep suits in Asda yesterday, although only in some styles.

SJ - (or anyone else who knows) Did you find out what was the cause of Alfie's green poo? Thomas's was very green yesterday morning then he appeared to have diawoowoo all day. I think we changed about 8 dirty nappies! Had to change him twice overnight too which is unheard of! It gradually got more normal coloured all day, then when DH changed his nappy 1st thing it was very green again. He seems very well and happy in himself, even his teething isn;t bothering him too much. He had a bottle of expressed milk day before yesterday and I'm wondering if it was connected to that.

any suggestions (following on from all the poop talk) to help babies pass their stools.

Landen has been really moany all morning and sounds like he's straining, going all pink in the face etc, and I know he needs to poo but it always seems to be so uncomfortable/painful for him.

HV suggested diluted apple juice but our local shop only has sweetened stuff and she said it needs to be pure...... ive tried him with some water but he just kept on crying and wouldnt take any.....

hes exhausted imself now from the crying and is asleep, but not sure how long thats gonna last....

I went last night and got 2 MEGA boxes of Pampers 5's for £6, went back this morning and they had all gone so picked up 3 boxes of Huggies 5's instead for £5.50! I am a Pampers snob but for the price I'll convert for a little bit!
The 5's are probably too big as he's only just gone into 4+ but we'll get use out of them eventually.

not had chance to catch up so hope everyone's OK.

Might shoot there tonight I think after LO's in bed !

  • CAFC girl - if you are BF then you easting grapes might help. Diluted OJ is meant to be good too. And tummy massages (always clockwise round his tummy button - you can use olive oil/sunflower oil if you want), and "bicycling" baby's legs. I also found that having some nappy off time seemed to help, so I got some disposable changing mats, took the nappy off to do the tummy massage and leg bicycling, then left her to kick for a bit :)

MFD - will you not put him in pyjamas? I always move to pj's by 6-9/9-12 mths, they last so much longer;)

    Baby news
Managed to put T in her cot last night at 9pm and we managed to watch nearly a whole film together....on our own, she just woke near the end for a feed and then went straight back to sleep:)

    xx

    Thanks hun

He's formula fed. I tried cycling his legs, it didnt seem to do much apart from push out some rather juicy farts LOL

When he wakes up I might try him with some nappy off time, with any luck he'll poo in his sleep :)

How dilute should the oj be?

CAFC - a little bit of brown sugar in the warm boiled water works.....it definitely did for us when T hadn't been for 3 days....

Thanks for that Mel - I tried searching babycentre yesterday but didnt see that. I'll get him some dioralyte at Asda today. He doesn't have a fever though and kis very smily and happy so I'll hold off with doctor until Monday

CAFC - we put Thomas in what we call the 'poo position'. It involved sitting on the floor with your feet on the floor and knees up. Lie him on the slope that your knees make. It's a nice position for him to sit and look at you, and in T's case usually gets his poo out. It also works if you have a foot stool to put your feet up on and bed knees.
