**vibes for little James**
Massive amounts of vibes for Lil James!! How did his mummy go with BFing? did it work out? xx0 -
I'm now into my 18th month of no periods so have no idea where my cycle would be at if I wanted to TTC. Ideally we want to wait until Isla's about 2-3 before trying anyway so no rush.
Hi Sugar
SJ - I read you've started weaning Alfie, it sounds like he's loving itI agree BLW/finger foods/lazy mummy weaning is a doddle. I loved it at weekend when we were out with two other couples with babies (one 8 months, one 13 months) Isla sat happily tucking into a plate of olives, houmous, pitta bread and salad while I got on and ate my lunch. The other two mums spent their time wrestling dinner into their babies and trying to grab mouthfuls of their own lunch inbetween. Several people commented on the fact she was eating a 'normal' dinner and seemed shocked :rotfl:
I got Isla weighed this morning and she's now 16lb 8oz at 36 weeks, according to my HV I'm the only person in Manchester who likes BLW  Once I'd told her the above story she agreed it sounds like it works for us and that Isla's a picture of healthAnd that she never got a hot meal when she weaned her children as she had to sort them first :rotfl: Maybe she should have tried BLW?!
Gill - another one who agrees that washables are the only thing to contain Isla's poopsplosions! I can send you boots stay dry size 3 to try if you like? I'll have a look through the nappy mountain and see what else we haveBelly Monkey arrived 19.11.09 :j0 -

Sami she's still expressing for him, he's not strong enough to attempt direct feeding yetI'm so proud of her, he's ten weeks today and there trying to get him back upto 11ml of mummy milk an hour.
I'm off to Sainsburys to stock up on wipes, I haven't bought any since Isla was born and still have ten packs in the cupboard! Gotta love boots glitches! 'See' you all later xBelly Monkey arrived 19.11.09 :j0 -

Afternoon all..
*hugs* as required, and massive get strong vibes for wee James
Today is the first day off I've had in a long time where we've had no appointments or something we must do. Still, we got up at 6.30am (thanks Rhys!), chilled on the sofa for a while, had a nap, then been blitzing the house - there's actually a noticeable difference for a change! We were going to go out but I've left my house keys in the car and OH locked me in this morning! Could climb out the window if I had too but I'm not that desperate to go out.. Not actually dressed yet either!
Rhys has been crawling from the front door to the back door and back again! When he fancies a break from crawling he goes to stand against the sofa, walks along the edge giggling hysterically then gets to the end, runs out of something to hold but his feet keep moving! He's made it across a few small gaps between things to hold on to and has a habit of letting go of the sofa and standing, but won't let go of our hands if he's standing in the middle of the room yet.
OH's dad is very poorly with a severe chest infection and we're basically just waiting for when he'll end up back in hospitalThen OH's Granny (his dad's mum), who is known for a mixture of hypochondria and dementia, phoned earlier saying she wasn't feeling very well so (as I can't get out to check on her and they know her better) I txt MIL and phoned OH at work - scared the life out of him when he got an urgent msg to phone me because he thought it was his dad (someone didn't pass the Granny part of the msg on!!). Anyway, MIL txt back and Granny has had a row with her daughter and is attention seeking, phoning every member of the family in turn apparently!
Anyway, I'd best go get dressed and carry on with tidying... Think it's nap time soon, might manage to get some breakfast then!
Hope everyone's having a good day xx0 -
Hi Sami I had a look at the mythnomore pictures and I don't think they're doing a lot to promote b/f! They definately need some pretty pert boobie pics on there.:beer:0

My boobies sagged when pregnant with DS1 and I swear it was the horrible non wired bra's my MW told me to wear. They were fitted and everything but they held them in a saggy position (I was the wonderbra girl before that so not used to boobies away down at my belly). Just pregnancy, nothing to do with BF is what I think.
Elle, well done Rhys on his crawling. Its all a confidence thing the letting go when he can see something, but I don't think he will be long before he is walking.
I need birthday present ideas! My baby is 1 in a week!!!!! I have a £40 argos card that I'm hoping to use, but it has to be small or at least fold away small. Ideas anyone? Something that I can use in her new room when it's done would be good.0 -

Would she like her own chair? I was thinking either the poang-a-like one that Sami linked to a while back or I am sure I saw an ITNG soft chair...please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -
Som, we have a bedside cot so if I wake up and Erin is asleep I move her in there so we all have more room and sleep better.
Gill, I've never worked out what the best nappies are, we always had leaks up the back and just learnt to deal with it although my sister never had leaks but she was using real nappies.
Aless, we did a road trip once from San Francisco to Denver taking in 10 national parks! It was the best holiday ever. We only spent one day in Denver but thought it was a lovely place.
Get well vibes for wee James and hugs for SSMum to DD born Oct 2009
