    Hi mel & MOTM

Mel - I've just put my sterilisers & TT CTN bottles on the fairy exchange, but I've got 2 size 2 anti-colic teats here. I could pop them and a couple of bottles over if you fancy giving them a try.

SJ - sounds like Alfie is really suited to BLW :)

Now my mofo pc won't boot up! Grrrrr

I did that breastfeeding thing yesterday, when it asked my reason for bf I put down good excuse to sit on my butt lol. I also said that they need to stop being so obsessed with babies weight gain and that the hospital shouldn't try to ge babies onto a 4 hour feeding routine like they did with Amber. And that it should be better explained that they feed every couple of hours for varying lengths of time and why.

MFD. I have sudocreme so put some on after napy free time, she was wrapped in a blanket cuddling up. She's napping now but will check and take a walk to the chemist for something else. It looks worse because it's her girly bits!

SJ I sometimes get those bumps, I tend to eat red apples more and get them with green. Amber had a green apple. Must be different apples have different levels of whatever it is that we react too? Will just avoid them with her.

Waves at NMS and asks where Beenie is?

Then get her bag and coat and runs off home for the day.

No, no rest and relaxation here, plan is to tackle the !!!!! hole that is the spare room, before moving on to the rest of the house. I am telling you all, because that means I have to do it, if i say i have not, i need a good kick up the !!!.

    Bye

Non BF's also end up with saggies:whistle:, I don't think it makes much difference how you feed tbh....

Nice to see you posting, not seen you about much lately x
    ...
Sorry I should have explained what I was doing for those that aren't in the know :o
There is a group called Dispelling the myths, all about trying to make sure everyone knows the truth about BFing. Currently they are asking for photos of boobs to prove that BF doesn't equal saggy, I was going to send a pic of mine in because I thought they looked great unfortunately when I took the photo I realised I was in ignorant bliss and my phto wouldn't have helped the cause at all :(

I did help out though by emailing the woman who runs the blog about Dr Christen Jessen offof Embarassing Illness etc because he keeps talking on his shows about women who are having boob jobs to fix their boobs after BFing, she's going to send him some info to let him know that saggy boobs are a result of genetics/pregnancy/bad bras etc:cool:
    ...

My boobs aren't saggy at all, even when empty but I know that may change when I stop feeding. I don't care though- not BFing in case you get saggy boobs is like having a pair of Jimmy Choos but never wearing them in case they get scuffed!
    ...
LOVE it!! I'm so stealing this analogy! :D

Poor Amber, Tia :( Edgar has reactions to acidic fruits, inc apple, Chris accidentally squeezed his carton of apple, covering Ed's arm in juice once and he came up in hives with in seconds  I tried him with a bit of pineapple on tuesday and yesterday he was very grumpy and now has spotty bits too :(

CAFC - I ment to say yesterday I got my crib 2nd hand off ebay, it was the basic swinging mothercare one, was like new and has so far been used for 5 babies (obv not all mine!!:p) I'd say go for the biggest one as it will last longest, I've never used the swinging bit because my boys didn't like it so a fixed one would have been fine in our case
The very best is sometimes what nature gives us for free.

  • Thanks SJ & WM. I have been lurking on and off but if I get the laptop out it becomes a battle between me & Liam on who get to actually use it. Liam just loves bashing the keys and as a result I have no Y, 5, F5 or tab. It's a good job it's the old lappy, my new one is away to be repaired.

I've also been re-reading the Twilight books (and watching the films too) so I have been reading int he eve rather than get the lappy out. I'm only here today because I have done very little work :o

Hi nms...I was just asking about you this morning!:D

Dr Browns bottles have been a massive failure here, they leaked constantly and we both ended up sticky at every feed, plus she didn't seem to like drinking from them and only ever drank about 2oz (3oz if we were lucky) whereas her normal amount is 4oz (or sometimes 3oz/5oz) So I have gone back to the Avent ones, but bought some of the comfort milk yesterday evening and have just made that up ready for her next feeds. Hopefully that makes a difference. On the back it said 1 in 5 babies suffer colic, so in theory IF I did ever go on to have baby 5, it should be fine as she would have been my 1 in 5;)

    xx

wow - red - I've just realised that you've had the baby and I hadn't realised/seen/heard/read!!! A big congratulations and hope you and the family are doing well.
Thanks - excited and very nervous.

You are far too busy that early in the morning. When I get up, it takes me a good hour before i'm even functioning :rotfl:

Thanks. Mrs MOTM may happen one day. Start saving for your hats.

Thanks and welcome back. Hope to see you posting more regularly soon!

awwww - more lovely news - I bet you are all thrilled. Awwww.

3 - did I hear you say you were broody again?! I feel odd that I'm not broody. My nephew is gorgeous and cute and I love him, but the momories are still to real for me right now. I still get twinges of pain from my section and still have anemia and worried that hubby wants a boy so much he woul be desperately upset if we had a girl!

CAFC, we had a saplings crib, the gliding one. Liyl hated it gliding so we just left it to stay still.

She was out of it at 3 months i think, she would always wake herself up by moving her arms and hitting the sides or rolling over and getting her leg stuck in the bars.

When she went into a cot(bed) she had the best nights sleep and has done for a while now, she has loads of room to move around and get comfy.

I keep finding her on the other side of the cot, facing the other way round and on her tummy in the mornings :D
