Oh and a Q for any co sleepers out there, have found T likes to sleep in with us when she is unsettled (teething) and I dont have an issue with this as for the best part she sleeps well in her cot. She is safe enough as Im such a light sleeper but I do get uncomfy and then dont get a good sleep. So does anyone have any tips?
Like you we're occasional co-sleepers and I found for the most part it was just getting used to it. Sometimes (like when Alice had whooping cough and was waking up loads) OH will go and sleep in Alice's room instead so that he gets a good night's sleep but I think we've just gradually got used to it over time.

I believe "they" say it is pregnancy that does it.

Yep, that's what I say too;)

Good luck with ttc Susan, hopefully it happens quickly for you, esp as your iron levels are so good atm:)

Happy Birthday Kindof! I am glad E is all smiley for our birthday, but I totally agree that it is horrible when they are genuinely upset like that.
I think I give them too much power, E was on the 91st when he was born, then dropped to 75th, then 3 weeks ago dropped to the 50th so they wanted me to go in every fortnight, which I was going to do BUT then my HV rang and they'd plotted E on the wrong week on his graph  and he was still in fact on the 75th

I actually find this quite worrying as I was really surprised when I read the first bit of this about E dropping to the 50th centile, given what you have said about his weight and size. I'm disappointed that the HV wasn't surprised enough to re-check! I appreciate they see loads of babies each clinic, but you'd think they'd have some idea of what is roughly average and what is above/below. BTW Henry is a 75th centile baby and has been since birth :D. It's the way to go :rotfl:(said tongue in cheek just in case any misreads my tone).

Just get used to it :rotfl:. To be honest as H has got older i have got less scared of rolling over etc when he is in the bed, but I generally still end up on the edge of the bed and H lays lengthways or starfish style between us!

My boobs aren't saggy at all, even when empty but I know that may change when I stop feeding. I don't care though- not BFing in case you get saggy boobs is like having a pair of Jimmy Choos but never wearing them in case they get scuffed!

Nothing planned today so it will be a lovely quiet day of cuddles and playing with my little man today.

Once we know times for Brum I will look into booking trains as well. I think I come into New Street too.

Gill, Erin had a red bump in her leg from the second or third set of injections (sorry, can't remember which one) and we were told it was normal. The nurse I've had for all of Erin's injections has been lovely and no needle slipping. How did it go with the HV?

Not great to be honest. The lovely HV was there and I could hear her giving someone else a really detailed explanation of things you can do to help with teething (something else I wanted to ask about) but I got another HV who is new. I'd actually met her at bf group a few weeks ago and we recognised each other. I asked her and she said bump was fine (altho it was going down by this time so was less concerned about this) and when I mentioned about the vaccine getting spilt she said that the person doing it would have known if the right amount had gone in and would have done it again if needs be. That would be fine if the woman doing it had seemed at all confident!

I asked for what I could do to help his teething and was I ok to give him calpol. She said yes but it probably wouldnt do much (it does!), and when I mentioned how he's not quite coordinated enough to get teethers to his mouth she said there's no evidence that they really help anyway! No nice detailed explanations like the other family got lol

T is in a funny mood this morning, he slept through until 6am then had a long feed and filled his nappy - major leaks  He wasn't his usual smiley self at all so I thougt he must still be tired but he wouldn't go down. DH took him downstairs for a play then I took him when he had to go in shower. He was a bit whingey then DH got out of the shower and was trying to get him to smile. He started to smile and DH laughed (just like normal, pretty quiet) and Thomas jumped, then the pet lip appeared and he started cryig :( Poor DH was a bit upset by it I think. I gave him to DH for cuddles and he fell asleep on him so I think he's just knackered after his early start and he's asleep in his swing now. He keeps pulling sad faces tho so I hope he wakes up in a happier mood.

Can anyone give me any advice on the best nappies to use for a bf baby that does A LOT of big runny poos?
Pampers newbaby were awful & every poo leaked straight out the leg. Huggies were better but only once he was near the top of the weight range, but then they started leaking out the back. Asda New Arrivals were the best but now that he's getting more wriggly they will sometimes leak out the leg too. Asda Comfort Dry are fine for bed and some poos but they only have one barrier in the leg so frequently leak. I've just moved onto Asda Action Fit which are great at the leg and haven't leaked once from there (it has the double barrier like the new arrivals but it more elasticy) but as it doesnt have as much padding any big poos are leaking straight up the back and going EVERYWHERE lol! I'm wondering whether to try these in a size 4 but they're from 15lbs+ and T is only 14lb 6. Or should I just accept that roughly a third of big poos leak??? (it's his 2 morning poos that are the problem!) Any advice/reccommendations gratefully received!!

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    Too right.

One of the things I objected too most in the BF questionnaire that Sami linked to was the 'reason you decided to BF' question - it went on about benefits for baby or cheapness or losing the baby weight so I put OTHER and wrote 'It is what breasts are meant for, I didn't consider anything else'

My boobs are still point further north than south so I am not complaining - especially being of a larger persuasion AND the wrong side of 30 :D

Jennynoo :rotfl:at the smokey bacon monster munch!! As if you couldn't tell the difference! Sitting down for a chat sounds like a good plan. Hope you feel better soon.

3 - Boo hasn't been on for aaaages :( She popped on just before I went away and has been on facebook but not very frequently. (I've not been stalking her lol)

Kindof - I live in Manchester but was born in the NE so getting to the shop is a bit tricky lol. I'll try sports direct when I go to Trafford next week but I don't have a jjb near me anymore. The JJB website only has the away kit. I'm thinking I might hang on a few weeks until the new kit comes out as the old one will hopefully go down again. He's going to be MUFC fan like his daddy as we agreed it would be cruel to live so close to Old Trafford and not be....plus he'd get a lot of grief at school! But Newcastle will be his 2nd team :D...and it's Mummy who decides what he's going to wear :T

ooooh HAPPY BIRTHDAY KINDOF! You kept that quiet. Are you doing anything nice?

I think we are going to move his cot into our room but it will take a bit of furniture shuffling. I think GISI is right when she says he should sleep better as he has been a lot more restless than usual in his basket these last couple of weeks. We put it down to being on hols but I think it's just that he's too big!

Som - it was your pics of Tahlie in her kit that reminded me I wanted one for T! She looks sooooo cute :)

Wow it's so much quicker posting with both hands.....I normally only get on here while I'm feeding T lol

Krystal, what station is best for you? I am looking forward to bookingmy tickets!
I'll get into New Street, most trains do but Snow hill and Moor Street are both within walking distance (allbeit in different directions) so neither would be a problem. Don't the meets usually start around 11?

The only nappies I've ever known contain new baby explosions are washables with a wrap over the top I'm afraid... You can always hope he becomes one of these babies that goes once a week... Aimee used to go once a week until she was weaned... Caitlyn went at almost every nappy change... Until she was weaned and now it's every other day...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.
