  • Diet is going okay - it helps that hubby is doing it too. I still want to drop a dress size or 2 though so I am ploughing on for now.

I have rugby players legs...my calves are as bad as my thighs! I do envy people with a good set of pins.

awwww - more lovely news - I bet you are all thrilled. Awwww.

Thanks....I won't respond to the naughty step thread as alot of big posts on there, but in short....I didn't know there was a book about it, but my girls were 1 minute for every year of age, up to about 6 and then it reverted to going to room to think about what they had said/done/not done etc, so if naughty, bottom step of the stairs for 5 minutes when 5, 6 when 6 etc and then had to apologise when they left the step. Worked well.
Wee James is still very poorly, he had an op yesterday and is having another today and a third early next week once he's hopefully stabilised. He had a really bad weekend and things weren't going well for him at all, I don't really want to go into too much detail on here but any spare vibes that are going around would be much appreciated.

Best of luck to James. I'm sure this will only make him stronger, so I send all my best wishes.
    Congratulations to MOTM and Lucy!

    Thanks :o

Nice shopping trip. Was planning on 3 years off with the money from the sale, may have to adjust it to 2 years if every day is spent spending like today :rotfl:

What did you get MOTM? Oh, while I think about it, you NEED these (you can probably get them a bit cheaper than that, just the first auction I found for them.)

It was mainly maternity clothes, but we also got a changing mat & a bath tub.

We saw a bouncer and some bottles/sterilizers but we thought we'd leave that for now.

My spending spree wasn't limited to the baby though. Lucy has loads of art/craft things and the girls all got something too. The only person who didn't get anything, was me...

Do we need them? I thought babies were meant to have their feet free for the first year? Something someone told me recently, although we thought that was just shoe free, but this person insists it's no socks or anything which I find unbelieveable because of cold weather etc

And we looked at a crib. It was £199. Not sure if it that's the norm, but I said wait as it didn't look that sturdy tbh.

MOTM, I think Ladybird may have just thought they were cute :D.

IMO, it's far too early to be making big decisions like breastfeeding or bottles. Let Lucy get used to being pregnant first and have a few discussions with the midwife. A lot of people never "decide" that sort of thing anyway, but just go with what feels the best once baby is born. If you're breastfeeding, which the NHS highly recommends and encourages, bottles and sterilisers are very much secondary gear and definitely not something to worry about acquiring in early pregnany IMO. Focus on the fun stuff for now, like itty bitty baby clothes and decorations for the nursery. But if you're finding out the flavor, don't go hog wild and just wait until the 20 week scan so you can really go crazy once you know the sex ;). I know the girls are excited, but too much too soon will cause some burn out and mean you have less fun stuff to buy later!

    :D

Grumpy baby here today. I think we have a tooth!!

Socks are fine MOTM - look at all the sleepsuits that come with feet in them :)

I also got Molly some socks with reinforced rubber soles for crawling because I was worried she'd hurt herself with her freaky upturned toenails, but she doesn't have any solid shoes and I leave her barefoot more often now she's a bit more adept at moving about.
