It's good to bring concerns up, even if it's just to put things to bed or talk through any issues people may have.
    I agree.

    (And congratulations!)

What are you trying him on Dawn? I used to give Izzy some finger foods to play with when she was having purees so she would start eating a bit of them too iyswim. One of my friends little girls wouldn't eat anything but pasta and sauce, so she had to hid things in the sauce to make sure she was getting all the right things.

Oscar's not taken to weaning very well:( anything that needs chewing he thows up but if I give him it pureed he is fine so deffo not the taste thats the problem just the texture. A bit weird to me as Everything goes in his mouth.

    What about finger foods?

If not, I would wait a week or so and try again and keep doing that until he can manage. Sometimes it takes them a little longer to get the hang of some things. If you are worried though, get him checked out at the GP/HV just to put your mind at rest.

Off out for the day today. Taking my lot to the Doctor Who exhibition at the Centre for Life. The boys really love that show and it's all the proper stuff on loan from the BBC, so they are really excited about it.

Have a good day all xx
Here I go again on my own....

3 - eep at your holiday!! I also thought of Emma Noble as a 'celeb' with an autistic son but she doesn't seem to have an up and running website etc, Jenny McArthy could be a good one too as she's done stuff in the uk as well as being mainly in the US so could have some influence on the main man in the US
Isn't she the one who made a big thing about the MMR causing it and then it turned out her son had something else instead and not autism?

MFD and Krystal - you will love the night garden live.... ( or your LO's will) had a great time and would def recommend it :) we sat right at the front as we had priority tickets but its that small ( only 13 rows) you will have a great view where ever you are sat. We got there at 3pm for the 3.45 show and were at the front of the queue.
We've paid for priority seats too, great stuff :D
It was you who leaked :p Shhhhh, we haven't told the girls yet. That's today, so a bit nervous.
Ah but when you post on a public forum I didn't exactly leak it ;)

Good luck with the girls today!

I didn't think there was a limit on time off to care for dependants.
I thought it was up to 2 weeks unpaid leave... But maybe it depends on the employer because Hubby was told he could take 1 block of 5 days and that was it...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

There are definitely toothy troubles going on today. She is now cross because I won't let her chew my feet. :rotfl:

And she took a tube of cream out of the changing bag and bit a hole in it - I realised just in time . Must put extra calpol in the changing bag for granny and grandad just in case I think!

Have you tried speaking to your HV? I know not all health visitors are that helpful but she should be knowledgable and be able to help you. Also I have friend who pureed her son's food until he was about 13 months (just because it was easier - not because there were any problems) so he's not the only child to be still on purees at that age.

I think this is the carer summary - or mainly the following page here - it seems like basically you are entitled to as much time off as you need, but they are not obliged to pay you for any of it.

    Morning all

Congratulations MOTM and Lucy :T All the very best to you both.

I often notice when people aren't around so much and wonder what they're up to but never really comment as tbh I don't feel enough of a regular poster myself. Hmmm.

I also worry sometimes about not replying to everyone but I don't often have much to add to what others have said, I do thank though and I appreciate she sharing that goes on on this thread and look forward to hear how everyone is getting on.

I'm not up to much today anyway. Might make a start on decorations for the cakes I'm doing this week, might go to the gym, and might do some cleaning! (I know, very non-committal!)

We got a nice surprise in the post yesterday, we are apparently so poorly off that we are entitled to free prescriptions! No idea that was coming but got exemption cards for me and DH in the post yesterday. Mine lasts longer than my maternity exemption so good news all round.
