Also has anyone any experience of the intensive driving courses? I need to learn to drive, I feel like I am missing out on so much (cant ever make meets for example) and we are getting some money from In laws after GIL died and I thought maybe I would take a driving company up on their 5 lessons for £60 offer then do a weeks intensive course?

I did an intensive driving course - 20 lessons within 2 weeks. I only actually used 16 lessons to pass 1st time :D (I used the other 4 to practise motorway driving after!)

Becles - I hope things improve for you soon. I like the idea of practising at red lights!

Searchie - I would def be up for a meet in Birmingham :j. I can't believe that you will find out I am a builder called Dave :rotfl:

3 Are you packed and ready to go?

His pox looks loads better today, thanks MFD. His spots are healing nicely so fingers crossed, I don't think he will have any scars :j

Oh - and I wouldn't class 5am as being 'night' my mum would just get up at that time!

Totally agree with this! My MIL actually quite likes it if H wakes up in the night and she has to settle him.

Didn't get on very well at the doctors. I've got a very weak pelvic floor muscle a possible slight prolapse which is why I'm needing to wee all the time and sometimes leaking. I'm being referred to physio to strengthen the floor muscles. Hopefully that will work and everything should pop back to normal, but if not they can do surgical stuff to tighten everything back up again. I have to do pelvic floor muscle exercises in the mean time until the physio appointment comes through and go back urgently if I get any dragging pains or anything protruding down there.

Remember to squeeze regular ladies :D

My step mum had that surgical procedure and it is pretty untraumatic and it helped her loads!

FBB- Please thank your super efficient fairies. The tutu arrived today.

Tis scorching here today. I have been helping out for the NCT at a family fun day today. All very fun except an old 'flame' (or should I say f**k buddy) was there running another stall ! Haven't seen him for years but I just couldn't look him in the eye, much less make small talk across the breastfeeding advice posters! Oh home times have changed! Oh well, at least I straightened my hair and put some slap on this morning!

Tara- I was wondering whether to try and stay over for the Brum meet. If you find any bargain hotels let me know. I think it's just about doable in a day for me and H, butwould probably be more fun over two days.

I have no phone for a week :( Its been sent off for repair :j

I went to baby group today, its the first one i've ever been to. Lily was a bit wary at first but she soon loved it.
She spent ages just licking one of the toys :rotfl:

We did some hand and footprints in this clay type thing, its currently drying in the spare room.

And Lily and our neighbours baby (Ted) finally met. He gave Lily a hug (on her head haha) and she took his dummy out of his mouth :rotfl: Then she squeaked at him for a while. I think she fancies him.. :rotfl:
ea im not giving up on you ... i need to meet your hyper self and lovely lily :) ...

I really would love to do a meet :D Just worried about Lily as she's only ever been in a car for about 20mins max.

I got my new credit card today, i changed my name so they had to replace it. Its very pretty :D
Shame i wont be using it, it will just stay in my purse as a nice addition :D

    Hello!

My lo arrived 4 weeks early by C-section & is 3 weeks 3 days old. I am breastfeeding (very MSE!).

He sleeps nearly all the time, apart from waking for feeds every 2-3 hours. I feed him, burp him, change him if required, offer the other 'side' if he is still awake, burp him. 95% of the time he falls asleep at the breast. In the day, I put him in his buggy or bouncy chair. At night, he's in his cot in our room.

Does this sound normal? Everytime someone comes round to see him, he is invaribly asleep & if he wakes, he is rooting. Well-meaning relatives are telling me I am feeding him too much & should give him a dummy instead of feeding him everytime. They also make comment about him sleeping too much so now I am developing a complex about it! Some relatives are in danger of having their visiting rights revoked........

Its a lot harder than I thought it would be!

Beenie's council is rubbish: My complaint acknowledgement claims it took two days for my e-mail to arrive from when I sent it. Do they really expect me to believe it was lost in cyberspace for two days.

Welcome Ajaney, sounds totally normal to me, they hardly keep their eyes open in the first few weeks but it soon changes. Your health visitor will be able to tell you if the weight gain is normal but feeding all the time is fine, when bf you can't feed too much :)
