Keely, that sounds like a breakthrough. I'm probably stating the obvious, but have you tried giving him a bath at a different time of day rather than bed time? Might make less fuss if not as tired?

:) I've tried at many times of day lol he is strange! He'll happily go to the bathroom to clean his teeth, stand on his little step and play in the sink but as soon as i take his clothes off to get him near the bath or shower he cries lol. First i thought it was being naked that was the issue but he'll happily run off naked! (and wee on the floor tut tut!), then we thought he doesnt like the bath itself but he'll sit in the bath (empty) fully clothed....so i don't know?! Strange little person! :)

I've just signed us up to swimming again (with surestart) so hopefully we'll get a place soon and he'll enjoy it fingers crossed.

Even after he's been grumpy and had tantrums, i just have to smile at the silly things he does or the thing's he's said :)

Keely, sounds daft but have you tried giving him a shower? El will quite happily sit on the floor of the bath whilst millie has a shower and I would be able to wash her that way if she took against baths i think.

Yeah-we did try the shower aswell. Thing is he used to love showers and baths, then one day i went to bath him and he screamed his head off. I can't work out what upset him that day.

I'm just glad today he has gone to bed clean without a fuss! :)

We must have planted them extra early or something? Actually they nearly got killed by the frost, but perked back up, so maybe that boosted them? Who knows!

    Hello!

My lo arrived 4 weeks early by C-section & is 3 weeks 3 days old. I am breastfeeding (very MSE!).

He sleeps nearly all the time, apart from waking for feeds every 2-3 hours. I feed him, burp him, change him if required, offer the other 'side' if he is still awake, burp him. 95% of the time he falls asleep at the breast. In the day, I put him in his buggy or bouncy chair. At night, he's in his cot in our room.

Does this sound normal? Everytime someone comes round to see him, he is invaribly asleep & if he wakes, he is rooting. Well-meaning relatives are telling me I am feeding him too much & should give him a dummy instead of feeding him everytime. They also make comment about him sleeping too much so now I am developing a complex about it! Some relatives are in danger of having their visiting rights revoked........

Its a lot harder than I thought it would be!

Normal! You have a normal boring baby, one that doesn't scream :D Mine were all boring too. Then suddenly they are a few months old and 'confident' ie, tearing the house up and laughing at the top of their lungs.

As for comments from people, accept it, everyone else knows better than you, smile, nod and think oh how lovely for sharing their wonderful knowledge with you  Or just tell them to shut the !!!! up. Which is what I would do.

Do you feel fit to drive? Can you slam all the pedals and turn round to reverse? I was driving after 2 weeks, my consultant said whenever I felt ready and my insurance company said so long as I felt able to and a Doctor said it was ok, I could drive.

Leave the car seat in the car so you are only carrying baby.
Ajaney - definately normal my little one constantly rooted whenever her eyes opened at first - ignore helpful relatives - yr baby is just content.

Had a BAD day took both kids to park 5yr old had a tantrum when i had to breastfeed, then had another tantrum and then I flipped and marched her (screaming of course) out of the park. I had remained calm during first 2 incidents as shes adjusting etc etc but by the end I was screeching like a banchee:mad: Now she is playing with OH and being sweetness and light for him I'm feeling very down today going to go for a soak in the bath

    Hope you feel better :D
