NE ladies - have any of you been to Haggerston castle? Or know of the Haven park there?? I've just booked for 4 days there at August BHAny question, comment or opinion is not intended to be criticism of anyone else.2 Samuel 12:23 Romans 8:28 Psalm 30:5

Birmingham's too far for me - it's almost 200 miles and 3hrs 43 on the AA route finder. I think the furthest south I could realistically do in a day would be around Leicester.Any question, comment or opinion is not intended to be criticism of anyone else.2 Samuel 12:23 Romans 8:28 Psalm 30:5

Hmmm Alfie was going to be having his first ever overnighter at grandma's tonight, however he woke up at 5am again this morning (was ok yesterday but up at 5 the day before) and I'm not sure it's fair to ask her to have him if he's up in the night. I am planning a hot date for a couple of weeks' time and tonight was a practice run to see if he'll be ok and we were going to dinner but no drinks and not too far, just in case. Hmmm.
ETA that is a hot date with my hubby, of course!!0 -
SJ - We're going through something similar at the moment. Nanny's due to have both the kids on Tuesday when we go to Bristol to the theatre. Because I'm worried about Freddie not sleeping, Amelie's going to stay all night and Nanny'll take her to nursery in the morning, but we're going to call in on the way home at about midnight to pick up Freddie.
Unfortunately at the moment Amelie's got a bad cold, I just hope it's going to clear up in time or I'm not sure what we'll do...Working hard in the hopes of being 'lucky'

SJ - if she is anything like my mum or my MIL you will never know if he was up in the night or not, and even if you do it won't be any trouble.
It is not like you are expecting someone else to be sleep deprived for a week. One night won't hurt anybody.
Does he take a bottle? Sorry, I should probably know that! I just used to leave more milk than was humanly possible for Benjamin to drink and say 'just keep giving him milk until he is quiet!!'
But then again that was my approach to breastfeeding!!! And he was (and is) a greedy little booger!!!
Grandparents deserve sleepless nights too!!!
Oh - and I wouldn't class 5am as being 'night' my mum would just get up at that time!please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -
Morning, would love to do Birmingham, it's about 3 hours so when you all decide a date I'll book up a hotel room. If I'm to get a decent price though I will need to do it soon so come on ladies!Too many children, too little time!!!0

I don't leave mine overnight while they are little as I think it's too much to get up if they wake but then I don't exactly have the best mothers to ask so that's why, so I'm no help. Sorry. XToo many children, too little time!!!0

Alice was just looking at a picture of my grandparents from about ten years ago and said to me, "Is that Great Grandad and you Mummy?"Any question, comment or opinion is not intended to be criticism of anyone else.2 Samuel 12:23 Romans 8:28 Psalm 30:5

Yeah he takes a bottle fine, formula or EBM. It's ok, it's hard to remember every thing that every baby does on here! And that's is pretty much my approach to bf too
I'm going to call and tell her he has been up a few times recently and see if she is still ok with it. TBH I am probably worrying unnecessarily as I saw her yesterday and mentioned it and she never said she couldn't do it as a result!
Oh and don't tell my hubby as it's a surprise but I'm planning on going here for the real hot date in a couple of weeks0 -
Looks lovely SJ - have you ever been here?
It is a wonderful restaurant, very relaxed but the food is gorgeous and the atmosphere is superb. My ex's parents used to live 5 mins walk away and we used to eat in there all the time...
...I do miss my ex for some thingsMainly his mum and sister who I adored!
