Quick question about the wooden playpen we bought today. Are there special paints available which would mean we could paint it does anyone know?
I know of 2 children in my town that currently have chicken pox so it's going around down here too. Not sure if I want t to get it or not, not that I have much choice lol!!Baby Toby born 17th Nov 09 :j0 -
Beccles I think he looks totally normal on that pic, like he is just taking a breath maybe? I was a similar size as a child with a similar sized appetite. Its not caught up with me (yet) thankfully, I still have hollow legs
No he's not taking a breath - his bones all stick out like that all the time. They all got weighed at school in May and he was told he was significantly underweight, but no further advice was given.ladybirdintheuk wrote: »I won a free venture photo shoot, and enough free money to spend to get one and a half pictures. I'm sure they will try the hard sell and try to get us to upgrade/buy more than one, but we will have to go in with our stubborn heads on. Tbh I don't mind paying a little bit extra, but I don't really want to pay the extra £45 it will be to get an extra picture. DH thinks we might be able to put the extra towards a disk with all the pictures on, but i'm pretty sure venture don't let you do that?
I mystery shopped them and got a voucher to get the free session and one free picture.
The free picture is a small 8x5" picture in a horrible black frame. The picture is sealed in the frame so you can't take it out and put it in a nicer one. I think that costs around £100 on their normal price list.
You can buy pictures on a CD or USB pen drive but the prices were ridiculous. I think it was £600 for 10 pictures on CD/USB and they have some sort of coding on them so you can't print them out.
All the other pictures were hundereds and thousands of pounds too. If you don't buy because you say they are too expensive, they push you into taking finance.fattybooboo wrote: »Quick question about the wooden playpen we bought today. There are child friendly paints, but I can't remember which ones. Go and have a look in a DIY shop. My Mam bought some when she painted her old cot for use at her house.
Pleased you are feeling better Caz xx

Wowee - well they're not bullying us, I'll tell you! We have black frames in here anyway, so that wouldn't be too bad - worth getting the free one at least!Isabella Molly born 14th January 2009

Oh, and I don't know why I bother hoovering. I finished hoovering just before 6 and it needs doing again already. If we had a garden I would insist that tea was eaten out there. That would save lots of problems.

Any gloss will do.. it is only the ancient 70's paints that contained lead you cannot use.. not that you can buy it anymore.. but just in case parents have a tin in the garage you could 'use up'
Mine all are done with chickenpox.... just the new sproggit to have them!

Police have just been round... Next door got burgled last night sometime between 6pm and 4am...
We don't know if we heard anything, they're a noisy bunch of idiots that can't shut doors quietly to save their lives so we wouldn't know the difference if someone had broken in anyway...
We also think it was probably one of their reprobate mates that they sit smoking weed in the garden with...
