S loves to turn the TV off, and when he does it I say "SETH!" in my stern voice, he has started turning it off and then running away looking guilty and shouting "SAAAAAAAA" at the to of his voice :rotfl:

I bought him 6 little board books for 99p each in The Works today :D
The lads at work thought they were brilliant...!!

I have never met an adult yet who can resist playing with baby toys or flicking through baby books. There is just something irresistable about them!

Thank you very much to JAM who sent me a code for the Little Stars books. I needed 2, so asked on Netmums and a kind lady there gave me a code worth 2 points, so that is brilliant news as there is 1 spare for Fatty Boo Boo!!! Boo, I will pm you with the spare code and we can both order a book! I am going for The Elves and the Shoemaker!

    Childminding Update:
I went to see a childminder today and was relieved that she was a 100% improvement on last week’s horror. :T I don’t think it’s quite the perfect scenario for my preferences, but she was nice enough and I felt comfortable enough that if I don’t find anyone else, I would be happy for Holly to go to her 1 day per week. I think it would be like going to your Gran’s, very much a homely environment. I met her husband too and they clearly think of the kids as members of their family. They have never had children of their own (I wondered if that’s why she took up childminding but didn’t like to ask) and they had a few photos up of kids they had looked after over the years, and obviously still keep in touch with as they knew their first minded child who is now 16 was on holiday in Scarborough at the moment!
She has 3 other little girls at the moment (2, 4, 7) who were all very pleasant and were loving fussing over and playing with Holly. She doesn’t drive, so said she doesn’t really go out with them much though, and the house was quite small, so there wasn’t a lot of space to do much, or sleeping facilities, but I think she would put effort into playing with the kids and just the questions she asked me, showed that she was interested in what Holly is like etc which is a good sign I think. :)

I managed to do some mega ordering from the Next sale. But I missed out on the Cath Kidston McLaren pushchair which I love!!! It’s £210 everywhere and never seems to be on sale, but they had it half price!!!! I couldn’t believe it when I saw it, but it was gone instantly. I hope it wasn’t you Tara!!

Off for a quick catch up. x
  • I spoke too soon earlier. She got herself back into bed again, then got up yet again and was wailing like a banshee at the stairgate. Left for ages, but then ended up having to get her, as she was getting so worked up - brought her back in here, and she drank milk and passed out on me. She was being silly for so long she was pretty much up till 9pm, so not surprised she finally crashed out. Not sure what is causing all this mucking about though. Will have to start properly with the cc again I think (properly timing things again) until she gives up and stays in bed to sleep/gets back into bed by herself.

We've been getting proper tantrums this week too, so not sure if there is something actually wrong, causing grumpiness during the day and night time, or if night time and daytime tantrums are just a new phase? Anyway. I need sleep myself.

I keep wondering - who is missing to make it so quiet round here? Not that I'm complaining at being able to keep up with the thread, but it is weird!

The guys I work with are all very much like my OH, comic book/xbox geeks and complete children!! Its like home from home being there, except they talk better than S :rotfl:

I think theres a storm brewing, the cats are doing laps of the house howling, knocking things over, clawing at the windows and being generally bugging!

  • Lots of people are MIA at the moment- Glam, Elle, Boogellyboo, AF, MM and probably loads of others as I am rubbish at remembering names! Aless is on holiday so I think we are missing her chat too.

I really should go up to bed, but it is such a treat to be in charge of the remote and the laptop that I can't bring myself to go up.
