Sorry haven't read back just going to jump in and share my relief.

That thread on the board about a 20month old who doesn't speak got me paying attention to how much El speaks/understands, the short answer is not a lot she has sounds like mamamam and dadadada (Dada is much more distinct than mama) and a noise which means Millie (Ai-yay) but nothing else. (I know its common for a 2nd child to take longer and they all develop at their own rate etc)

Anyway yesterday she said Lady (the cats name) and today I said to her do you want a yoghurt and she went to the fridge so I'm feeling much relief.
I just found a piece of paper yesterday listing the "words" Alice could say at 19 months. Aside from mummy and daddy, she had nine words six of which were animal noises so arguably not proper words. I think she was behind average until she was two and then she just suddenly started talking loads.

I don't think Alice has appreciated the scale of our world map yet. Today she wanted to go and "have a quick look at Germany".

Can I quickly boast a little please?

Christopher said his first ever two syllable word today at the SALT! He said 'Mike-al' for Michael.

If you are quite a new customer then you might not qualify yet, order from the new catalogue and just return it so that you show up as a shopper next time.
Too many children, too little time!!!
