HOLY CRAP MOLLY JUST SAID BIG RED BIRD!!!!!!!!!!!!

She's only repeating what her toy says but it was as clear as anything!!!!!!

And I doubt she knows what it means, but it was a very very clear thing she said.

:rotfl: at Keira. BM does your ?MIL? mean a headscarf as well?

Oohh.. my DH is Muslim, I usually fast with him but im BFing this year so cant. Looking forward to Eid, got Ayana the biggest princess dress I could find! lol Its MASSIVE- lots of netting. She will probably just end up eating it tbh- she likes to flash her nicks/nappies.

Is gran your mum or Keira's dad's mum? (sorry, dont know if youre married/in a relationship. :o)

It's Keira's dad's mum :D Only her that's muslim though, him and his sister aren't, and their Dad is from Scotland, though they were brought up not eating pork etc etc, though her dad scoffs on the bacon now!

We still live together but have split up, but still on friendly terms with his mum (she likes me more I reckon :p)

See I'm not sure about Eid, should I buy Keira's gran a gift? It's unknown territory for me (though I buy her Xmas presents too as she sulks otherwise!)

Hmmm I'm not sure actually SS, she never mentioned a headscarf, but I'm going bald on the top anyways so It's not very sexual :p If she wants me to put one on though I don't mind, probably won't go with what I'm wearing very well but it's hardly a fashion show. I just hope Keira doesn't burst out laughing as she does when she sees Zahara praying, she thinks it's funny, I have explained where we are going and she says she wants to participate, she has no idea what its about, probably just looks fun to her!

YEY!!! For Molly's highly advanced speech, she's going to be a genius, you know this right? :p

:T:T All we get consantly is AR AR AR AR... Im sure our daughter thinks shes a pirate!

You probably will have to wear a headscarf for the mosque- thats the dress code, and a long sleeved top.

If youre not sure what to buy, a fruit basket/food is a common gift up our end. Or a nice sparkly headscarf? I usually get MIL some sari fabric that she has made to measure (or she gives it away as a gift to someone less fortunate! She thinks I dont know, but I do...) Im not bothered though as shes always giving her things away to charity/poor, thats just the way she is.

    hi all,

been awol re posting again but have been trying to keep up.

moving is a nightmare, anyone want to come and sort it all out for us and i'll pay you :D .. eek ... just wish we were in there already and only had the unpacking to do.

going to LO's clothes, i can't believe how much she hasn't worn.

after our success on the big loo, i thought i'd give the potty a go, as that is more practical at ILs place etc, but she wont sit on it. she'll go and get it when it's time for her bath, etc, but will not sit on it. i'm just leaving it where she can see it so she gets used to it etc. not sure really how to go about it all but in no rush.

great to new about new teeth/walking/words etc ... i dont think we have loads of words, some are clear and others i wonder if it's becuase i know what she's trying to say, or you can under the 'sound' of the word if that makes sense?

i do lurk loads and feel bad i dont post as much, but i know others are better at all this than me, so i just read all the advice :D

oh, we had a great night's sleep last night for the first time in ages .... 8.30pm ish to 5.45am, bottle and then asleep again until 7.50am .. .i know it wont happen tonight, but it was a lovely shock to the system

:rotfl: BM it's just parroting, she has no idea that the noises are words or that they mean anything. She understands and says Mama, Papa, Boob, More (not just meaning more though, also meaning, Please feed me) and Yeah. But the big red bird is just noise - noise that I am very very proud of :)

    Clever Molly :T

Michelle that's a fab idea about putting the name in phonetically. I should have thought of that really seems as half the family got her name wrong when she was born! Also we will need piccies of your DD in her dress ;)

Well done Thomas and Gill for winning the nuby comp :D

BM - your posts crack me up :D I love the way with words you have and Keira sounds a hoot!

This is not nice :(. *ignores uncomfortableness above*

Anyone have experience with draughty fireplaces? Never lived with any before and now we have 3! It's barely September and freezing at night :o.

wm, I'm deffo in no hurry for crawling! I mean, it's cute and all but it just means trouble :p. He already wiggles around and inches a good few feet without crawling, so that's good enough for me. Don't want him to grow up!

You don't want to cover the fireplace completely as that can cause damp so either cover and leave a hole or what we did was buy a ballon that goes up the chimney.

    1) For those with amber teething necklaces... Caitlyn likes to play with hers and lift it into her mouth and is now biting on it / sucking it quite frequently... Should I remove it from her? Or do you think it will be safe considering it's on a strong cord and individually tied?
    ...

    TIA...
Edgar managed to bit one of the beads in half the other day so he doesn't wear his any more, he was only wearing it in the day anyway after he managed to undo it.

Just realised this lack of necklace could be why he has been an absolute nightmare every night recently! *run off to buy an amber anklet!*
