Hello all,
I'm trapped under a sleeping girly so thought I'd use the time to come say hello :hello:
I've kept up a little on fb with some of you, how's everyone else?
Isla now has four teeth, crawls at breakneck speed and seems scarily close to taking her first steps  She'll hover not holding onto anything for a while then realise's and drop's to her bum or just as she step's forward at the last second she'll grab something to hold onto :rotfl:
Going to read back a bit but hope everyone's wellBelly Monkey arrived 19.11.09 :j0 -
Sounds like she won't be long walking then Boo
Nice to see you!
I have a couple of questions...
1) For those with amber teething necklaces... Caitlyn likes to play with hers and lift it into her mouth and is now biting on it / sucking it quite frequently... Should I remove it from her? Or do you think it will be safe considering it's on a strong cord and individually tied?
2) what's the best way to remove vomit from electronic surface wash only teddies? I was kind of hoping Hubby would have done it yesterday but he didn't and if I don't do it, it'll never get done... Aimee was always kind enough to vomit on machine washable items so it's not a situation I've ever come across...
TIA...A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Krystal Isla's just started sucking on her necklace recently too. I try to distract her and move it so the slack is around the back of her neck and hope she forget's about it. I figure it's knotted after each bead so at most only one should come off if she does snap it? Or maybe I'm just a lax mummy?!
How's the bump coming along and how many weeks are you now?
And on the vomitty toy maybe a nailbrush and bowl of soapy water then a squirt of febreeze or something to freshen it up? I'm really bad though as I'd probably bin it and deny all knowledgeBelly Monkey arrived 19.11.09 :j0 -
If you're lax then so am I... She's been doing it for weeks now and I generally take it out of her mouth and tuck it in somewhere, it was just my sister pointing it out and asking if it was safe on Tuesday, I wondered if maybe I'm too lax lol...
I'm 15+4 now, started to really podge out up front... If I was thin I'd have a real bump lol...
I would bin cheaper toys... But it would grieve me to bin Violet...A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Hi, thought I'd pop on and say hi too
Boo- Ethan is the same-thinks he's mighty clever in pushing my hands away so he can stand all by himself but then quickly grabs onto me again when he feels himself falling! He's completely missed the crawling thing out, just LOVES being up on his feet walking around, it's quite tireing!! Still waiting for teeth though!! He's amazes me everyday with new things he has learnt. Can't believe he is 10 months old today, how time just whizzes past!!!
Here is my little chaplove my little man he is amazing :j0 -
What sort of age did you ladies get the amber necklaces for your bubbas? I'd quite like one for Sophie, even though OH might think it's a bit 'cranky', mind you, most people think I'm a loon for the fluffy bum thing - I think this might finish them off
Not that I give a monkeys though!
Kindof - yay for E. Ignore anyone who says babies can't say anything before a year, some do, some don't.
Krystal, how are your girlies feeling after the vomit incidents? No suggestions about cleaning it off, other than Boogelly's sounds sensible.

Redstar - Hope your girl has a great day like she did yesterday. Is it just the 2 or 3 hour mornings for 3 weeks and then 2 or 3 hour afternoons for 3 or so weeks? I seem to recall that's how my last lot started.
Hi Motm, thanks for asking - she's really looking forward to going back. I'm just relieved that I'm on maternity leave at the moment as I would really struggle if I was at work;
Yesterday she had to go for the morning (8.55am - 12pm).
Today she does the afternoon (1.10pm - 3pm)
Monday, Tues and Wed she goes for the morning and lunch (8.55am - 12.30pm)
Thursday is afternoon only and then Friday she's off for the day. It goes on like that, a combination of mornings and afternoons for another 2 and a half weeks before she goes all day .Working hard in the hopes of being 'lucky'

15+4 already?! Wow, it really is a while since I've been on. It would grieve me to bin Violet too but I'm a lazy moo! TK Maxx had Scout for £14 yesterday, it doesn't pronounce Isla properly though. It say's IS-laa so I wouldn't get her one.
Hi Helen, Ethan looks gorgeous! Isla only sussed out 'normal' crawling about a fortnight ago, before that she'd been doing her own improvised version which actually got her around a lot quicker :rotfl:
bexta Isla's had her's since 14 weeks. Apparently the earlier they start wearing it the less chance of them noticing it because it's just always been there. It is only very recently she's started palying with it and she's 41 weeks now.Belly Monkey arrived 19.11.09 :j0 -
