:T:T All we get consantly is AR AR AR AR... Im sure our daughter thinks shes a pirate!

You probably will have to wear a headscarf for the mosque- thats the dress code, and a long sleeved top.

If youre not sure what to buy, a fruit basket/food is a common gift up our end. Or a nice sparkly headscarf? I usually get MIL some sari fabric that she has made to measure (or she gives it away as a gift to someone less fortunate! She thinks I dont know, but I do...) Im not bothered though as shes always giving her things away to charity/poor, thats just the way she is.

That's fine, I think I have some silk scarfs lying around from when his sister last came back from Singapore, and she left them behind :rotfl: I'll wear a long sleeved cardigan buttoned to the neck over whatever I'm wearing, probably just a flowery dress (with leggings as I can't show legs either?) Will i be okay wearing flip flops?

Hmmmm yeah she does like food! But then I'm imaginging the houses we will be going around will be groaning with munch! She does like fabrics as she makes Keira dresses and she is making me a nice cosy scarf at the mo. Ehhhhhhhh, hmmmm, she likes gardening, maybe a ho? Lol no! Im being silly now, not sure aaaaaaaahmmmmm, Im stuck now, I dont wanna give her fruit or a headscarf as im sure she has plenty of both as she is a keen gardener (note to self, pillage her apple tree at weekend)

Sounds like she won't be long walking then Boo :D Nice to see you!

I have a couple of questions...

    1) For those with amber teething necklaces... Caitlyn likes to play with hers and lift it into her mouth and is now biting on it / sucking it quite frequently... Should I remove it from her? Or do you think it will be safe considering it's on a strong cord and individually tied?

    2) what's the best way to remove vomit from electronic surface wash only teddies? I was kind of hoping Hubby would have done it yesterday but he didn't and if I don't do it, it'll never get done... Aimee was always kind enough to vomit on machine washable items so it's not a situation I've ever come across...

    TIA...

Amber has hers on 24/7 (ebay one that Sami got hers from) and she likes to chew it. I can't see a problem if it breaks, like you say its all tied and the beads are smaller than raisins.

Vomitty toys. Clean up with paper towels as much as you can, then get a cloth and a small basin of water and biological washing up powder (liquid whatever) has to be biological, febreeze wont get rid of the smell. Then using a damp cloth clean it up as much as possible. Get some fresh water/bio and sponge down again and let it sit for a good 30min-1hour. Then with a clean cloth and water only, rub up to get rid of excess powder.

Coz you know, with Chris, I know all about vomit
Ah I feel like such a bad mum :(

I've had to keep Keira off nursery again today, because TMI, I woke up in bed this morning covered in blood, I haven't leaked on a period since I was about 14 and using sanitary towels. I stood up and it was all running down my leg and everything, Keira started screaming saying I'd been stabbed with a knife (drama queen :p) but I'm in agony and daren't leave the house in case I "flood" on the walk to nursery. Be really mint walking home with blood running down my foot. It seriously is THAT bad.

But It doesn't smell like periods - does anyone know what I mean with this?!

Also I was supposed to hand in Keira's form for childsmile today, it's where they get a fluoride coating on their teeth and today was the last day to hand it in so guess she won't be getting it - again! That's twice she has been off this week and twice last week (but 3 of those days were because she was ill)

I'm lying on the sofa using the netbook as a hot water bottle for my belly.

BM, go and see your GP, usually it's nothing but there are a few nasty things that can cause such excessive bleeding and it is better to be safe than sorry. Hope your feeling better!

Michelle, well done with the surestart grant!!!

MOTM, If you have something to say, PM me rather than making everyone else on here feel uncomfortable. Or say it to me, not to others. Beenie did not deserve that outburst.

:rotfl: BM it's just parroting, she has no idea that the noises are words or that they mean anything. She understands and says Mama, Papa, Boob, More (not just meaning more though, also meaning, Please feed me) and Yeah. But the big red bird is just noise - noise that I am very very proud of :)
Even if it was just parroting, clearly her mouth is able to pronounce such complicated words.
That's great she can say boob etc though, Keira's forte was grunt point and throw.

Still has a bad habit of that now (with less throwing, or I throw her in a naughty corner :D)

Get her some unusual seeds :) Apparently gardeners love weird plants.

Her Daddy had just left for work so I'm not going to tell him and hopefully she will do it again tomorrow when he is off.

The postman's just been and said 'Thank God your in, that package has been driving me daft laughing or crying or whatever noise it's making!' I've opened it and it's a nuby hugs & tickles lion from there fb comp the other day. It giggles REALLY loudly when you press it's foot and Isla seem's to love it. She's currently shrieking and giggling along with it :rotfl:
