Carolyn Chute book, bit depressing I thought? If it's that one, LB.
ETA Ah Cold Comfort Farm might be a better, or at least more enjoyable, guess
can't even remember the name of the Chute book above-mentioned. 0 -
That's already an actual name though. I used to work with a chap called Morris.Tigsteroonie wrote: »Nothing wrong with car names - if I turned out to be a boy, I was going to be called Morris!Any question, comment or opinion is not intended to be criticism of anyone else.2 Samuel 12:23 Romans 8:28 Psalm 30:5

:eek: maybe we should cross that one off the list then. I guess the chavs are taking it from the jeans though rather than the Bible. And :rotfl: at Mercedes. I'm now thinking of as many car manufacturers as I can and laughing at the idea of using them as names.
Porsche/Portia
Clio/Cleo
Both lovely names!
Who was wondering about 'y' names? My OH works with a Yozanne, which I think is pretty unusual.:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator

I'll have some of your cucumbers with my points - I have two cucumbers which are more like gherkins. I think it's just too cold up here for outdoor cucumbers.ladybirdintheuk wrote: »Cold Comfort Farm is the one

We're still debating boys names. A girls name will be straight forward so we haven't looked at them yet. OH is worried that names such as Reuben, Levi and Malachi are too unusual.Levi certainly isn't unusual Susan, and I don't think Reuben is either. Malachi might be the most unusual of all of them (but it's the one I like best
)
And here was me about to say Malachi is the most common! Well it is round here. I don't know any Reubens or Levis, but there are a few little Malachis at L's school now. I think it's because there is one on Hollyoaks.got-it-spend-it wrote: »Has anyone text MFD about 3's victory? I think she would like to know

Yes - we text spoke today.
She's having fun, but has no wi-fi at the hotel.

That was the one I was thinking of, Susan! Don't think I finished it, didn't enjoy it. CCF an all-round happier choice, good work LB

I have known 2 Reubens, but no Malachis or Levis. I think in recent history all 3 names are fairly strongly Jewish culturally, are they not, so commonish in those communities, uncommon outside?
Mind you, I have known 2 Merlins, so it's a strange world anyway.0
