I am feeling very relieved today because at this point in my last pregnancy I was (finally) admitted to hospital because of the hyperemesis and I still haven't been sick yet or been too ill for every day life. :j

Age differences, I'm 30, and OH is almost 48. He's got a 19 year old son with his ex (who's been too scared to pick up his little sis, cos she looked so small when she was born)

Oh good, I thought I had the biggest age difference :D I'm 31 and Husband is 45.

Great news, Susan. Hopefully the first time was just a one-time thing and this and any other future pregnancies won't be as horrendous sick-wise IYSWIM.

Must shower. Molly's gone back to sleep after her early waking, so I'm going to take full advantage.

  • That's great news Susan :)

Must have been the night for sleeping babies! Mine slept through again last night (and the night before actually) for the first time in ages

Oh and Alfoe has fully mastered commando crawling! Only trouble is, wherever he is in the room he just heads for the nearest wires.
  • Just popping on for 5 mins whilst Liam wonders around tghe kitchen cuddling a bag of crisp...

MOTM - Double congratulations to you and Lucy. I liked the idea of getting a ring for proposal purposes only, I loved going ring shopping with DH, and found the ring I thought I wanted didn't look right on my finger. Oh, and don't forget, there is every chance Lucy's finger could swell with the pregnancy.

Susan - Don't think I've said congratulations to you yet :o Glad to hear this pregnancy is easier than your last.

We've got the Community Nursing Team coming to see Liam and give us some advise regarding my Eczema. My main concern is that it seems to be triggered by dairy and hence its become difficult to manage now he's having cows/goats milk.

Oh !!!!!!, there is water leaking from out the dishwasher...best get a mop

Not such a good sleeping night - moving to toddler bed has not been without bumps.
Elijah really adores it, and can be found just sitting on it holding a toy sometimes, but he's definitely been more unsettled at night since the changeover - both from literally falling out of bed, but also just waking and needing comfort. He got up 15 mins into his daytime nap yesterday and wandered around the flat, and wouldn't go back down again (although later he did fall asleep for 45 minutes under the desk in the spare room...)

Then last night, at about 4.45am he woke me up with absolutely top volume heartrending sobs of terrible misery :( was a bolt of adrenaline down my spine, it was so loud and sudden!
His duvet was on the floor and he was standing on it sobbing and rubbing his face, and I couldn't tell whether he had smacked his head falling out of bed, or had a nightmare  so I cuddled while he did those whole-body jerking sobs and gulps and such and eventually fell back to sleep... very random!

Well done to those of you with better sleepings last night :) every night counts!

EA - hows it going convincing F about the finger foods?
    <snip>
Anyone have any good fingerfood breakfast ideas for starting out, T likes toast but dont want to keep giving her that. Her holding skills are limited atm so cereal etc is out.

He's more coming round to the idea when we call it 'finger foods'
He just is worried because i gave her a stick of cheese and she bit a bit of it off and it went into her mouth.
So its grated cheese only now :o

I dont think he likes the term 'Baby Led Weaning' he said the other day "What if everything is baby led? Like baby led disipline? The baby bites you and you dont tell it off because it has to learn that its been naughty on its own!" :rotfl:

I should start a blog with all the funny things he says :D
    Infact im going to :rotfl:

When i was looking for blw ideas, i went through SJ's fb album titled 'Alfies first foods' and wrote a list out from that :o

That's what she's supposed to do! :rotfl: When my grandma saw Alfie eating the first time she said "Oh Sarah, he's put it in his mouth!" I asked her where she thought he should put it :rotfl:

That's funny you wrote a list from my album though. I made a mental list from things people on here and the BLW forum had mentioned but in the end just gave him what we were having.

SJ - yeay for camando crawling :D And thanks for all the lovely ideas. We went with porridge in the end tho she prefered drinking it from the little pot I'd put it in than off the spoon, strange baby :D

MOTM - glad that was a good idea for you :D Susans cheapie argos ring is a good idea too. Have told MIL if it is twins/triplets next time Ill be expecting her help! Tahlie is pronounced Like Bahli but with a T its basically Natalie shortend and an H added to stop the Tally pronounciation.

3 - love the crumpet idea :D am not a fan of marmite myself but OH is so will let her try some and find out her preferance, MIL is marmite crazy so she'd be happy if T likes it.
Baby :female: Tahlie Lois born 15/3/10 7lb 12 oz :heartpuls

He thinks its will get stuck in her throat and she will choke. Even though we are here to watch her eat :S
:rotfl: @ your grandma! Which reminds me, i need to see my nan. Haven't seen her in about 2 months!

I didn't know where to start and what to give her, then i remembered you had loads of photos of Alfie eating food :D

He's still sick but well enough to whinge so I am not too worried about him. Thanks for asking :)

He's probably no worse than you were but in true male style can't cope lol ;)

What wipes do you use Beenie? They have pampers sensitive £5 for a pack of 9 at the moment.

Caz - what a terrible comment for someone to make! Can't understand the way some people's minds work. Hope your nephew is ok.

    Fab news Susan

Yay for Alfie's commando crawling :T

We're having a baby free afternoon today! My mum is coming to look after T and DH and I are going to Trafford Centre to watch Toy Story 3 and have lunch at Pizza Express :j
