Well, they say that the measure of a company is not whether they get things wrong, but more how they put things right....
I have received a very nice apologetic email with a freepost address and the promise that a replacement bag will be in the post to me the end of this week.
All from the customer services manager and all thanks to Floydy for the tip off.

Well done. I hope this one turns out nice. :)

I have found their customer services to be very good. It makes a difference to whether I buy from a company.

I received a replacement box from People Tree last weekend. It was quite generous:

2 x long sleeved cotton tops (green and black)
1 x pink t shirt that hugged at the bottom and was baggy on the arms, with a large tree on the front.
    1 x wool cardigan
1 x sleeveless white cotton top
    3 x pair of underwear

The long sleeved tops are pretty boring, but very serviceable. I really like the pink t-shirt. The cardigan makes me look a bit grandmotherly, so I'm giving it to the MIL for Christmas (handy timing!). The white top is very unflattering and makes me look like a beach ball. The underwear is very comfy and soft.

All in all, I am happy with this lot and I liked the customer service (helpful when dealing with my replacement) but I don't think I'd bother again. I would definitely check out individual items online in the future should there be any sales though.

I got mine through last week, and I can't actually decide if i'm lucky or not, because the clothes are nice but not what I would usually wear...will give them a go though! Size 10...tops were fine (apart from tight necks!!) but skirt was a no-hoper, since i have a 'curvy' bum.

    I got:

    - white t-shirt with 'unexploited' printed in black
    - long sleeved light blue t-shirt with high neck...although you'd have to have a tiny neck to fasten the buttons on it!!
    - dark purple long sleeved t-shirt, also with high neck...sort of ruffly
    - yellow dress with printed leaves (?)...unusual put probably what i like the most.
    - black skirt with those weirdo flappy things on the sides...will NOT be wearing this...bum in much bigger than I thought ;)

A few might disappear on ebay but the dress is a keeper!

I think I may have become addicted to the suprise though...keep wanting to order another!!

    Hi,

Has anyone had problems with delivery?
My bag has not turned up and I called People Tree..they said that it was dispatched on 5th Nov. Royal Mail can't trace it though because they send them by 2nd Class Post, and so there's nothing else they can do.
I've asked for a replacement, but have to wait about 3 more weeks as the new bags (yes, there'll be more) wont be ready for dispatch until the end of next week.

A bit disappointed..that means its ultimately taken 5 weeks for delivery with a £5 charge :-(

I have just rung up about mine and it was also dispatched on 5th Nov, I have got to go and check at Royal Mail office to see if its there, I doubt it. So will check tomorrow and see what they say.
  • Hi All :)

after umming and ahhing the last time the goody bags were about I actually ordered one this time. Size 14 (am between 14-16) and on first glance as I ripped into the box on my way out the door I was a bit disappointed but when I had a proper look I was very chuffed. I got:

1 cream beanie (currently on a friend's head, I don't have the right face for hats :S)
1 green/blue tie at the back dress, which I'm wearing, and have warmed to very much
1 odd black and white stripe jersey top with odd things that tie at the front. bit nautical, quite quirky, think I like it!
1 green t-shirt with embriodered flowers on, very pretty
1 people tree t-shirt for use at gym/ sleeping in
1 plain white blouse, bit snug but I'll be into it soon enough

so very happy to have taken a risk. none of the items were things I would have picked for myself but I'm glad I've got some items that are not 'me'. it's fun!

thank for all the comments and advice about sizing etc and for encouraging me to go for it! :j

Well after chasing up my parcel at the post office today they could not find it, got home and about 2 hours later RM van turns up with the parcel!
Not so good as my first goodie bag as I got one of the lovely jackets but I think I will wear most of the clothes.

Got a Green T Shirt with Flowers at the bottom
Pink t shirt with pattern down the side
    Beige Camisole top
Navy Top with pleats at the front, looks quite big but not tried on yet
A red and lilac stripy T shirt type dress (im not sure about this it looks quite clingy round the hips!)

So really I got mainly t Shirts/tops would have liked a skirt or trousers but hey cant complain too much.
  • Hi is there any control over how often this thread appears, as I am wanting to get another goody bag as I was so happy with my first yet there are non available and havent been for a while, yet keeps on being posted. Price has also gone up to £35 now, but discount codes are offered if you sign up your email the the people tree.

    Many Thanks

I will keep updating from time to time. :)

I'm sure there will be more next year, although not 100% certain when, as I've only had summer ones.

I had the same problem my goody bag never turned up and People tree didn't have any left in that size so refunded me my money. I coulnd'nt fault their Customer Service but would have liked a goody bag!
