People Tree Sale. Goodybags £30 (Containing over £100 of items)

So my 2nd box arrived today.......As everyone else has recently said, I'm a little disappointed.
This bag doesn't seem at ALL inspired.
I've got 2, yes TWO people tree t-shirts?!
I don't wear logo tops. I wouldn't even wear a top that says Armani all over it, so why am I going to wear one for people tree!
A cute black & white check pinafore dress. Good for holiday or worn with a turtleneck & tights. Material has a defect however.
A cute embroidered cream shirt with a little collar.
An ugly lilac top, with frills around the hem line & sleeves.
I just dnt know what I'm going to do with it, I like 2 items one of which has a defect. Do I send it back or keep it?
The dress, and cream shirt sound worth the cost, if the dress were not defective.
I would give customer services a ring and explain that you recieved 2 identical items, and 1 defective item in your goody bag.
They sent me replacements when I had a similar problem (stitching coming away near zip, and an item missing).0 -

Just called up, (I've also emailed!) & the woman said I'd have to send the whole box back! They're out of stock & can't replace it. I hope someone else reads my email & says something different! I wish I'd seen the bit about saying I had an identical item before I sent that off. Trying to find pics of my goods as well.Debt £16,000

Thats a shame. The only size currently showing as being in stock is a 14.
Ask if they can refund the postage, as the main reason you are returing is because of a defective item.0 -
Ive received mine today- a size 16 box. I was really worried and put off opening it! Glad I did though...
1 long sleeve black jersey with turtle neck and button detailing
1 long sleeve black jersy top like above but slightly different
1 long sleeve deep pink jersy, same as above
1 brown/grew woven knee length skirt with fringe detailing
1 green skinny wool scarf
1 gold and silver earings!
Im quite chuffed, its not something i would normally wear but thats what i like about it-something new! think the skirt is a tad frumpy and the scarf is a bit itchy but i'll make it work!2025 Mortgage start £378K 2025 Overpayment £103 Savings Challenge 2025 **MONEY MAKES ME HAPPY**0 -
I went onto the site and they only seem to have the bags in a size 14?0

Well I just got my first box, after reading all the earlier rave reviews on here, & hoping I'd get something in the category of "I'd never have looked at it, but wow this looks great on me!" I didn't.
Here's what I got in my size 12 box:
A cream cap sleeve round necked T shirt. OK, just a Tshirt, I'll wear it.
A bright jade green mandarin collar long sleeved fitted shirt. About the only thing that fits well, will be OK under a suit, not mad about it but will probably wear it.
An orange striped tunic top - no sleeves. Very big. Think nightshirt.
A navy cotton wide strap summer top, elasticated on the waist, red & white embroidery at the top. Wearable but not especially flattering as too big.
A khaki very voluminous one shoulder cap sleeved T shirt. Horrible.
The last 3 things I won't wear & I can't imagine they would even sell on e-bay or in a charity shop.
So for the 2 things I'd consider wearing it was a waste of money.
I'd lose quite a bit sending them all back too.0 -
I found a picture of the tunic/nightshirt:
This looks better on the model - with a big belt. Maybe I could do something with it?0 -
I was just thinking how nice that looks. You would have been better off with a size 10 bag.
Is it really huge on top, as perhaps you could wear it tunic style, either loose or belted with jeggings, or trousers.0 -
I definitely should have got a size 10 rather than 12 - their sizing seems really odd. I'll admit that tunic does look better on the model - I'll have a go with it later, see if I can make it look that good on me.
I'm thinking about sending it back, but then I'll have paid 2 lots of postage for nothing. Even if I don't sent it back, I won't be shopping with them again - this has been a really bad advert for them. I'm sensing this is what most other people are finding, at least with the recent boxes.0 -
I've always found goody bags to be better earlier in the season. They tend (although not always) to be generous with their sizing.
Is there no way you could wear the other items? I've had things I wouldn't have though of wearing before, that turned out to look surprising nice on.
I did alright this year though.0
