People Tree Sale. Goodybags £30 (Containing over £100 of items)

In the box was a note to say that there was a stock discrepancy and there were no size 14 bags available, and that they would be refunding me for the 14, so I only had the 12 delivered.
Hmmmm.... Well, the Size 14 goodybag that I ordered on 8th Sept, that they said they were out of stock and would be refunding me... arrived yesterday!
I'm not sure how I feel about this, because they'd told me they would be refunding me, I went ahead and ordered another Size 12 goodybag... so now I've spent £99 on PeopleTree stuff (including postage) and that's more than I was planning! Strangely enough, even though all the items in the Size 12 bag fitted me, all the items in the Size 14 bag fit as well. I haven't decided yet whether to return this one, but I have a sneaking suspicion I may end up keeping it anyway
In my 14 bag I got:
1 x black long-sleeved cotton top with high collar (think this might be the same as goonlord's - Goon, does yours have a seam straight up the back, and three little buttons on the neck at the back?)
1 x red top exactly the same as above
1 x black singlet top (I think you guys call them vest tops??)
1 x grey knit mid-calf pants, roll-waist. These are sooooooo comfy and look great on, would be good for yoga or dog walking etc, love these!
1 x neutral coloured trousers, I think the only way to describe them is like culottes, they've got really wide legs but are quite tailored - these will be great next Spring (if they're not too big for me by then)
1 x bracelet (will not wear this myself so will add it to my "present box" and will probably chuck it in an Xmas hamper or something)
Really the only thing I love love love in this box is the grey yoga pants - the rest I could take or leave... so I'm not sure if I should keep the box or not, I might send it back. It's just that they'd said the 14 wasn't able to be fulfilled, so I'd ordered another 12 instead... what do you all think I should do?0 -
Its up to you, but you'd have to pay p&p to return.
I would personally keep it, as yours sounds good for the money. There one thing you really like, plus you've got a couple of autumn/winter things. I also like the sound of your culottes.
If there hadn't been anything you particularly liked, or it was stuff you absolutely wouldn't wear though I would return. You sound like you've done ok though. :T0 -
I got my box a couple of days ago, with the letter saying the size 14 was out of stock. Maybe I'll have one waiting for me when I get home tonight!
In my box was
1) A pair of capri-length beigey coloured trousers, almost pretending to be genie/harem style but closer fitting? They are hideous in my opinion, but someone might love them. My kids laughed at me when I tried them on.
2) A lovely cotton top that is way smaller than the size on the label (but it's really pretty and in the right size I'd wear it)
3) A navy blue jersey dress with a tie keyhole detail at the neck - I kinda like it, and need to figure out how to accessorise it to make it something I want to wear - I think it is certainly do-able. My DS said it made me look taller - which at my height can only be a good thing!
4) A dark green top with black flowery print, almost kimono-style I would say. I wasn't sure about it when I first tried it on, but really like it now.
and (keeping the best for last)
5) A denim-coloured cotton coat, with large brown buttons and a tie belt. Its a lovely item and worth at least twice what I paid for the box.
I was a bit disappointed to begin with, as so many people had bright and pretty things, but I think I've done really well for the money paid and I am definitely keeping it!0 -
I headn't even heard of People Tree until I was surfing this site and discovered the thread, so.....after much reading of everyone's comments, I finally decided to order a size 12 goody bag! It arrived last week and contained:-
1. Lovely black cotton 3/4 sleeve cardigan - have already worn.
2. Green short sleeve V neck top with turned up sleeves (green not really my colour but useful for summer days gardening etc)
3. Grey with red swirls summer vest style top - fab love it!
4. Long sleeve green demin style top with 2 ties at the neck and tie die style flowers on the bottom (not really my style may ebay)
5. Fabulous dress / tunic in a yellow / green with a puffball hemline and a wide sash waist, looks fab with leggings or thick black tights. (just found this on the site - balloon dress £75! Love it more now)
I'm really pretty chuffed with what I got, and am now considering buying another, hoping for some more autumn/winter stuff.Em

Yes, the high collar tops are the same as mine. tried them on yesterday and although the neck is a little tight, they will be fine under cardis / jumpers and very warm!
Everything in my bag fitted really well although I think I might shorten the wraparound skirt as I don't really wear long ones (it goes down to my ankles and I'm 5'8"!). Not sure why everyone else was ordering a size down as I haven't found anything too big really. The embroidered t-shirt I got was one of their designer ones and the black tunic top I would happily have paid £30 for so all great value I think!0 -
I've been debating a goodybag for a while and then I got a promo email from people tree today for free delivery with orders of £30+ and thought now was the time
Promo code is FSDEL and is good until midnight on Friday
I've gone for a size 8 on the recommendation of all the people here, so we'll see what I get . . . Did have to put it on my credit card, which isn't very MSE but I have a very good excuse - my bag was stolen last week (THAT's a whoooole other story!) and my bank has been increeeedibly slow issuing me a new card, so all I have at the moment is a credit card. Will be paid off next month I promise!Total debt: [STRIKE]£9473.62[/STRIKE] £7,384.87 22% PAIDTAF #25 NSD 8/12 | Food £43.45/£50 | eBay 0/20 | Exercise 5/18:T Proud to be Dealing with my Debt :TDFD: June 20150 -
Thanks for the code. :T
You have to post vouchers/codes on the Discount Codes 'n Vouchers thread. Could you edit your post, and post a link to your new one with the voucher if poss? That would be much appreciated, as its well worth ordering with free delivery.0 -
ok so got this email yesterday

Thank you for your email. Having looked at your account it would seem that two orders have now been processed for you, both containing a size 16. Please accept our apologies for this, we were unable to cancel your initial order as it was held on the system until more size 16 goody bags came into stock.
Which is crazy because of the letter was sent saying it had been canceled, but this way I suppose I can see whats in both boxes and pick the best bits???
The first one arrived today with
the capri's like trow described, not a good look for me;)
The black long sleeve top with buttons on high neck and seam down middle like scubabe (I was wearing it wrong way round couldn't understand why it would have a seam down the middle at the front lol) my neck must be to fat as could not do up
A red long sleeve top with black tree design and people tree written on, the arms are tight at the bottom and batwing at the top, very srtange look on me.
A wollen tank top which would be lovely if it didnt have the roses knitted on (making it look a little old for me).
A peach t-shirt which looks hideous on my complextion. (but may keep for gym?)
And a lovely navy top/dress (looks a bit like maternity wear, but I like it as it gives me plenty of room) in a pinifore style.
So 6 items, will be keeping the dresswill see what is in my other box and decide from that.
