Before ordering from People Tree, if you decide to return an item the company requires you to pay for that return by trackable means and also only refunds the purchase price not the full amount. Ordering a goody bag blind is likely to cost you £10 for possibly nothing if you decide to return it.
To be fair to anyone reading this thread, these terms should have been pointed out earlier.0 -

I've been lucky with mine so far. If I got a duff one, I would probably ebay it, as I don't think its worth spending the return on, although some people have done ok with exchanges.0 -

However I just recieved this letter saying
"unfortunately there has been a stock discrepency between our system and the actual stock held at the warehouse. A refund will follow shortly for these items 1 surprise bag 16."
I am beyond dissapointed as this is 10 days after takjing the money from my card, 12 days after the initial order, and now they are showing instock on the website!!!
Still unsure what is happening with the size 18 I ordered at the same time???
I have of course reorded another size 16 and am hoping this will not happen again. I just feel that if they were waiting this long to respond they may aswell have waited till they were back in stock (which is the day after the letter was sent)!
I had the exact same letter, ordered over 10 days ago, so dissapointednot even sure if I should bother trying to re-order, I need the refund of the cancelled order to be credited before I can afford another £34.50 really. If they knew they were getting more stock why didn't they just advise there would be a delay, grrrr

Thats weird. Surely they should honour the existing orders?0

Yay!! Mine was delivered and I love it!!! I am in the process of losing weight, have lost a lot so far, I think I'm a size 14 at the moment, so I ordered a size 14 bag and a size 12 bag, wanting some clothes that will fit me now, and some to look forward to fitting into in the next few months. I ordered on Wed 8th Sept, and it was delivered on Fri 17th Sept. In the box was a note to say that there was a stock discrepancy and there were no size 14 bags available, and that they would be refunding me for the 14, so I only had the 12 delivered.
In my bag I got:
1 x pink two-tone long-sleeved top (fitted under bust - haven't tried it on yet but poss too small just yet)
1 x black skirt (A-line, long, with embroidery on front - haven't tried it on yet but poss too small just yet)
1 x red & white tunic top with white belt (huge, will easy fit)
1 x green wraparound skirt (not tried on yet, but it'll fit fine as it's a wraparound style) - same as Ebay item 110587563295
1 x black mid-calf genie pants (they fit fine, but I'm not sure I like them?)
1 x notebook (will not use this myself so will add it to my "present box" and will probably chuck it in an Xmas hamper or something
So there's a few things that fit me fine now, and a couple of items that I will need to try on at home tonight and check if they fit, but if they don't fit me now they will do soon!
I'm considering buying another size 12 goodybag, as they have some in stock at the moment...
All in all I am REALLY happy with my items!0 -

I'd agree with Sublime to give them a ring. Email is nice because you have everything in writing, but at least if you phone you'll know where you stand. I'd have thought they'd have just sent you out the goody bags when they became available again. Maybe demand was just so high and sudden they got caught off guard.0 -
I've spoken to Customer Services several times (i was one of the unlucky ones who, although it seemed that my goody bag was ordered on Weds 8th, got refunded because they ran out and couldn't keep up with orders...there were 33 too many size 14 bags ordered that day apparently). I was told they will make up more bags each week but now they've been in the MSE email, I have a feeling they will be out of stock for quite a long time)....they were giving them away with orders over £80 about 2 weeks before Martin mentioned them. The power of advertising!0

I got my people tree bag today, I ordered it late on the 6th of September when they were 'out of stock' and it arrived last Thursday I think but I wasn't home and only just colected from the PO today.
I would have ordered a 14 but it wouldn't let me, and with people saying the sizing's generous and me attempting to lose weight I thought I'd chance a 12. I'd agree that the sizes are generous.
I received:
1 x green t shirt v neck, with sleeved turned up
1x brown t shirt, scoop neck
1 x turquoise vest top, with some stretch in it, suitable for exercise / gym wear
1 x green patterned top, sleeveless, lovely for summer with leggings or shorts
1 x dress that I would never have bought myself but that is really nice - just looked on the website, it's the 'sunflower dress' originally £95, now still £50 in the sale!!
1 x notebook
I'm really pleased. Like I suppose many women who aren't hugely fashion conscious, I tend to wear the same sorts of clothes all the time. I love that I've got a selection of lovely quality clothes, in colours and styles that I might not have chosen for myself, for the extremely reasonable sum of £30Emma :hello:0
