Just checked my receipt for my few purchases on saturday at my local store and notice their is an item on there i didnt purchase

    709 467 184 - black butterfly placemats ??? £5

I dont know where this has come from as i never went to the home department nor buy any home items, i only bought 4 items of clothes. I know I should have looked at the time but have been very busy and only just unpacked the items. I read on here that several people have been charged for wrong items anyone advise what I can do, is it too late. I am fuming that I did not notice, cant see how she scanned in another item when i only bought 4 things.

This is exactly what happened to me. I had been charged for a £5 necklace but funnily enough I didnt even buy any jewellery! Just clothes. I make a habit of counting the items I have when I get home and making sure I havent been double charged for things (as this has happened many times in the past!) When I went back to the store to return the items I didnt want I explained this to the sales assistant. She eventually gave in and gave me my £5 back but strongly suggested I look at my receipt before leaving the store next time (but who really has time to do this at 6am in a packed store with over £300 worth of items?!) I was grateful to get my £5 back and that luckily the item I didnt have was only £5 and not £20 as I doubt very much i'd get that back. However when I returned my items I noticed I was £30 short and turned out the sales assistant never put through a red jacket I was returning  Abit annoyed as I felt like I was being cheated out of money and having to prove it all the time.
    Valued Opinions: £90.75 IPSOS: 4255 :D
Comp Wins: Pauls Boutique Hoodie, Supercar Thrill Driving Experience, Benefit Lipstick, Radox Giftset, Paco Rabanne One Million Fragrance, £20!

I went into Next today, was hoping to pick up a gift in the sale luckily I did, there was a runner constantly taking returns from the tills back to the shop floor!!

I had a long wait in a short queue to pay as most people in front were returning, one woman had 6 large bags completely stuffed to return, must of been hundreds of pounds of stuff, most of it looked like baby clothes. I can understand returning a few items but why buy so much if you know your not going to keep most if it??
    :hello:

These people are probably just the type that get so caught up in the chaos of the sale that they grab as much as they can before the person next to them picks it up, knowing that they can just return whatever they don't like after they've bought it / took it home / looked at it properly
  • I just posted this somewhere else & thought it might help someone here. If you want to see a close up of a sale item, copy & paste the number into google & click on the cached link. You get to zoom into the item & see how many star reviews it had. I can't fathom out how you can get to read the review though.

All my items that were on a 2-4 week wait have been despatched, yet all the things that should have been here yesterday are nowhere to be seen .

Is it just me and my laptop or are other people having problems accessing the next account and going to your basket?

I've been having problems with this for a while with Next website and neither Next nor Sky can come up with an explanation or solution. Discovered on Friday is only with IE and works fine with firefox.
  • Just out of interest I have some sale stuff I need to take back and I just looked at the invoice which states you only have 10 days to return items! I didnt realise and its now day 11 and I cant get to a store until Wednesday. Im guessing that means I now cant return the items I have? x

You could always call them up and explain and say that you were going to take them back to the store last Sunday but didn't think returns would be allowed on that day because of sale was on ;).
