Have you bothered to look at the pictures img256.imageshack.us/i/img7968q.jpg/
There is plenty of room for dustcarts, most of these modern estates do not have room for enough cars.
Yes I am on the consumers side, we are the customers and should be looked after.
Thanks Zandoni, they have clearly got lots of room. And also those photos were taken around an hour after the bin men went, so it isnt like there is many cars there at this time anyways. Also about 3-4 cars are parked the exact same as min (Half on the kerb) further up the street opposite a main road.Maybe, but the OP doesn't deserve to come to a forum for help and get abused.
Yes I agree, i did not come here to be abused like the first posters put, "What are we betting that we never here from this OP again" I do not agree that was fair, since i only came here for advice and what my rights were, i did not come for abuse.0 -
it's for one day a week for gods sake.Just move it!!!!!!!0

The fact remains, its irrelevent what you believe, the binmen believe it's difficult for them to do their job with you parked where you are. So you have a choice; leave your car where it is and risk not having your bin (and your neighbours) collected, or do the simple thing, as was politely asked, and move your car!ryanfitton wrote: »Thanks Zandoni, they have clearly got lots of room. Sadly there are far too many people on this forum who take great delight in having a go at people when they come for advice.
If they feel you should park in a different place they could tell you nicely without ranting like they do.
It's also worth noting that most of them wouldn't say a thing face to face with someone, but rant away behind the safety of their keyboard.
This forum needs moderators to kerb the rot which is setting in.0 -

Yes well i will park my car somewhere else in the future now. I feel you are right they could have said it nicely, sine it was my first post on this forum as well, they could have at least made it more pleasant
i think i will click the "Abuse" button for some people

I have re-read this thread and would be interested to see what posts you consider could be reported for abuse.0

What do you expect when your ignorant enough to risk other peoples bin collections for the sake of an extra 5 second of walking?
The fact that your on the kerb isnt the point. Parking off the kerb in the same position would make it worse. Your opposing a junction, meaning the truck cannot reverse in/out. Maybe they should boycott your collections until you see sense.Back by no demand whatsoever.0 -
You said yourself you came here for advice.
We gave it. Its not our fault its not what you wanted to hear.
Or were you expecting us to side with someone who causes a obstruction not only to other road users but also to people using the pavement over some other people trying to do their job?
Fair enough you were apparently polite enough to MSE users in your original post but from other things you said in the same post, you came across as a spoilt brat who was blowing things out of proportion simply because you were being asked (not demanding, just asking) to move your car as you were hindering people while they were providing you with a service....................dont get me wrong, there are certain posters on here who are quick to bite - one of them funnily on the other side of the fence on this one - but when the majority of posters are having the same reaction, you ever stop to think maybe you didnt word things as you meant to and have given a false impression or maybe you're wrong that you shouldnt have to move your car?
And while someone said something about people hiding behind keyboards, i cant speak for everyone but i can speak for me.....i dont need to hide behind a keyboard but the beauty of the internet is anyone can pretend to be anything. But may i also point out that we are quick to criticise in others that which we hate in ourselves
You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0
