Just be aware that if you deposit through a credit card to Netteler it will usually be classed as cash advance fee ... so just deposit by debit card (if you want to see it instantly 1.75% fee) or BACS (free) ...

If your bank has faster payments you can send money to your neteller account using your online banking using the details below. Its free and the money is available the next day.

The reference is your 12 digit logon number, and you must include it.

    Hi,
i got the fairfx card through martins link on this website,

the only fees i pay is when i withdraw money from a atm which works out at $3 , there are no fees when using the card to pay for goods in shops ect and i got customer services to clarify this for me and its also in the small print.

just to add if you get the fairfx anywhere card you get charged for using it 1.5 % but if you get a fairfx card in the correct currency you dont pay anything. im off to usa so i got the card is us dollars,
the anywhere card can be used in many currencies

I am also thinking of getting a FairFX card. The Euro version as that is as far as we go.

Has anyone experienced any problems in using this card? Also I have read you can have multiple cards. Is this multiple cards to use from one balance or different cards with different balances if you get what I mean.

Me and the wife would want 1 each ideally but linked to the same funds - not seperate funds

    Hope this makes sense!!
  • You can get what they call family cards that are linked to the primary card and you can transfer money from the primary card onto the 2nd card, but they dont share the same balance.

you cant top up the 2nd card just transfer money from the primary card.

they are a good idea as if you loose the primary card you get the balance transferred over
  • What are peoples thoughts on when to load the card with Euros?

I intend to get the card asap but do not want to load the card with holiday money if it is too early!

    We are travelling in October.

    Opinions needed!!

Ok we have all done it, found a cheap flight, book it quick to get the deal.

I found a great deal on Ryanair, rather that pay the stupid card fees I decided to use my Fair fx card.

I topped up with my card, but no credit was applied, I tried bank transfer again nothing appeared.

Finaly 18 hours later the payments finally arrived. Too late to get the cheap flight.

    Contacted FairFX SEE REPLY:

"Sometimes orders can be held up by our risk management system in which case the order will need to be approved manually. If an order is placed late in the evening and the order is not approved automatically then it will be approved the next morning.
One way in which to ensure a top up is approved ASAP is to make it during UK working hours where possible."

So if you are booking a flight with this card make sure you top up in office hours only!!!
