Well they are breaching the DDA on 2 counts:

    - firstly by saying Disabled Bays are for Blue Badge holders only (not true on private land)'

    - and secondly by having a one & a half hour limit and not allowing extra time for disabled customers.

They could end up with a Court case one day is a disabled customer (with or without a Blue Badge) gets the right support to challenge them. It's basic DDA service provision to make 'reasonable adjustments'; I bet the Supermarket has spent a small fortune on DDA compliance advice, trying to get it right and then they have have spoilt it all by allowing clueless money-grabbing scammers to stick such signs up and issue fake fines.

And the small print on the bottom of the sign is clearly not readable by people in cars driving in!

But sar050680, you have absolutely NOTHING to worry about. Just laugh when the standard threatogram letters start arriving (match them to the pics on the thread link I gave before, soon you'll have the whole set!). :rotfl:
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Yes, I received a letter from Parking Eye last week for overstaying in a car park by few minutes whilst I was gving blood !! I wrote to them to appeal and provided all the details to prove where I was and what for and received o reply from them. Today received another letter, not a response to the appeal again demanding the £80 or £50 if I pay by tomorrow.

After reading your posts, I think the letters will go on the next barbeque !!

Thanks for the posts guys and girls and helping us beat this scam !!

Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?

Im not normally a vicious person but Mbradl01 if you do work for PE and are posting things like that I hope you are soon in the DWP office seeking benefit! Driver8 should be awarded an OBE. This co has caused me a lot of stress and worry. I think I might take a day off work and do a campaign outside the car park Im sick to the guts that so many people have probably paid those robbers £120! At least !!!!!! Turpin wore a mask!

  • I received two PCN's from Parking Eye last week for parking in an Aldi car park (the black checkered border looked horribly official through the window envelope).

I was about to pay both of these when I saw all the forums on line so decided to read first and pay later. This has obviously been discussed to death but forgive me for being newbie (and frankly feeling like a rabbit in the headlights with all there is to read about this) but the fact is I did park there, I paid for an hour and I stayed for 8 hours 58 mins, not once but twice and they have photographic evidence of my number plate to prove it.

I was told by a friend that I was a mug for parking all day whilst we worked in a shop, she did so for free in Aldi (she never mentioned parking fines...)

If I had done this once I might feel brave to brazen it out but twice is just platent - isn't it???

I feel sick about the fact I might be the one they choose to take this further with and actually go down the road the whole way....

Dont worry im 99.99999999999999999% sure it'll never even get a whiff of going anywhere near a court.

There are loads on here that have all had these private parking tickets / invoices ( dont get confused THEY ARE NOT FINES ) we have all decided to ignore them and we have all come out the other side better off than these companies because we have not sent em a penny as we dont owe it to them.

It could be argued that because you didnt pay for parking you could be liable to pay them for the two days parking as that is their actual loss, you are certainly not bound to pay them a penny more than you actually owe them, however advice still stands as with all PPC dont pay, dont contact them.
You may click thanks if you found my advice useful
