    I would take as much as you can and recover it in gravel. You can get huge bags of gravel for next to nothing. We covered our (rented house) double drive for £10 of gravel.

    I'd put it back how I found it just out of spite. Put a tesco value plant pot in the centre and tell here that's your idea of landscaping.
