Yes, it's always hard to know when the end is nigh. Should we wait a little bit longer, just in case there is a change. But then there comes a time, when you know that you have done all that you could - and despite all you have tried, you can see the discomfort or shadow of existence your loved pet is going through ......

I remember all too well, ringing the Vet in Feb to get the CRF blood test results - they were 3 times 'high'! 'How long are we talking about' I asked 'weeks or months' - 'weeks' he said.
It was difficult driving back to back as I 'howled' with tears streaming down my cheeks.
But, with care - sometimes meant getting up several times a night to let her out for rainwater, and bizarrely fish fingers (it was the only thing she would eat for awhile), she put on some weight rallied during the summer.
Sadly, in the autumn her appetite went again, and her mobility got worse - CRF creates muscle wastage. So we said good-bye to her in 28 October '08. Yet we still seem to find her fur!!?
Yes, I still miss her, such a big part of my life for twenty years, such are memories.
I used to work for Tesco - now retired - speciality Clubcard

This has had me in floods of tears as I think I am going to have to make this heart breaking decision for my gorgeous boy soon. I have been through it before but not for many years.

I am so sorry for your loss.

Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.

How sad. We had to have Rosie put to sleep 2 years ago,and although we have 2 more cats i miss her still. She used to sleep on my knee when i was on the computer. She was 17 and first went blind but was managing fine. Then she had a stroke which paralised her. Yoy know in your heart you did the right thing
