Hi everyone,
Jackieg, that does seem unfair. I'm having problems at the moment because of a complaint I have had made against me by a member of the public. I know it's unfounded and that this person has a history but it's still a worry because an investigation is going on.
Not a lot os going on becaus of the heat and the fact we are eating salads every night. I am calorie counting as its the only way for me and have lost 5lbs since last Tuesday, long way to go though.0 -

Lost three posts this morning due I guess to my being exhausted. Anyway after blubbing for about an hour I decided that a couple of hours sleep may help.

Afternoon everybody:wave:
Been out shopping in town all morning,& only had my lunch an hour ago.We are going to a 60th on Saturday, and I wanted a summery dress, finally got one from TKM@xx reduced as well
,though I'll have to do a little alteration round the bosom area as it gapes a bit,it shouldnt be a problem.
After that I went to Aldi ,& picked up a few bits.DS1 is moving out at the weekend,he's going to rent a house belonging to his best mate.I worry that he cant afford it on his own,but he doesnt have to buy anything as its fully furnished and equipped so thats good.So I am putting together some food supplies from my store cupboard for the basics, rice, pasta, spices ,a few tins etc,and will do him a shop tomorrow as he won't have time with moving stuff. Its only 5 minutes away by car so not too far to come if he runs out of something!
He and DH also have the dentist on Saturday. They had appts last Sat,found the surgery locked and 3 other people outside waiting too- when DH rang on Mon,the receptionist was really offhand and said theyd rung everybody,so he told her about the others.A letter came later that day, which was dated the Thursday before,to say they were cancelling, had 2nd class stamp on
Some form of chicken breast for tea, turkey for DS2- not sure what yet, though I'd better make my mind up soon :rotfl:I have some nice new spuds to go with whatever,I'll have salad instead, especially after seeing my back view in the mirror at TKs :rotfl:Think I'll look in my Good Food mag for inspiration.Take care all x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Well - it's finished! Actually we still have floor to sort out and re-tiling and new ceiling lights - but all the new units are now in! I am enjoying wiping down all the surfaces and shelves. Need to wipe out the ovens as well and heat on high for 15mins to burn off any factory fumes...but supper will be cooked here - chicken and rice I think! Now it's just a question of deciding what to put where (and hopefully throwing a few bits out).
It's like Christmas present time!!!Resolution:
Think twice before spending anything!0 -

Is it just me or does anyone else have a cupboard with, stock cubes, sauce mixes, herbs etc and each time you clean it out you wonder " why did I buy that" and half the stuff is out of date?? Or is it just me ?TOTAL 44 weeks lose. 6st 9.5lb :T0 -
Definitely not just you - I found four lots of mixed herbs ranging in date from 1997 - 2010!!!Resolution:

Went to weekly market and got farm eggs, veg etc and sausages from the butcher's van.
Making new potatoes, cauli, broccoli and carrots with home made sausage and onion pies for tea.
DD(16) is at Alton Towers, her sister is seeing friends in Leeds so tea will be later tonight.
Managed to order a dress from Mand S online that should be suitable for me to wear to DDs graduation next Thursday. It is a navy mix linen, quite long and slightly flared with a contrast trim at neck and hem. (Not telling DH I ordered the red one too as the bargain was too good to resist)
The people we want to buy a house from and who accepted our offer on Saturday still have not got a solicitor - but they are really motivated for a quick sale.

JackieG - hope you sort the work thing out, take someone with you.
What a horrible day weather wise
it's been raining and misty and blowing a gale all day
I've been down West Wales all day with the work kids, my colleague drove so I had a nice relaxing day doing very little! Work kids had a basic skills lessons and we used the climbing wall then in the afternoon
I'm going to cwtch in this evening under the blanket and what mindless tv, eat nachos, crisps and chocolate cos I have PMT and the weather is pants! :rotfl:
Thanks to all those who replied to my quick cake request yesterday, I made a micro jam sponge which was tasty and hit the spot!
Have a good evening
