  • Thanks Aureol, No you don't sound negative at all. I've gotten more information and sound advice from yourself and this thread than I imagined possible. If I may, I will send you a pm and show you my ads at some point tomorrow - maybe you could let me know what you think?

So really by becoming a SL - I would at least find out who is doing what and where? I don't know of any meeting. Would my ASM know? I would like to attend.

Yes to the PM and ads, I will have a look in evening, time permitting, otherwise Thursday.

Well, becoming an SL, you would see if there are Reps in territories, and if they are F&F only or territory reps, but there were restrictions on the misuse of SMA, so not sure how this would work out.

Yes, there are weekly or monthly meetings, can't quite remember. They are called "call ins". If you have one local to you, you can go and sometimes they are very helpful. You get to meet other Reps, SLs, and they sometimes do demos on new products, or have samples to show. They discuss ideas on how to gain new customers, etc.

I remember Elliebee talking about hers and how she had picked up new ideas.

Your ASM will have the list and will be able to tell you where your local one is, what date and time, ie the first tuesday of each month at 2pm at the local WYMCA. But sometimes as I found, when recruiting Reps, the Call Ins weren't local to my reps!

Thanks for taking the time to share all the info about ASMs and territory. Hope your hard times change soon. Feet up, cuppa tea and relax for 15 mins. XXX

  • Has anyone had a customer lead from Connects yet??? I got an email this morning saying someone wants a rep get intouch. So sent her a txt saying i'll be round tomorrow to drop a book in and she replied saying it didn't matter she has signed up to be a rep herself. So disappointed :( im beginning to think people aren't too sure how to use that site.

    Sorry for the ramblings:rotfl:

  • kitten claws - would you be able to sign up just F+F reps? I know if you became a big-time SL with lots of reps you'd have to give out territory, but you may be able to put together a small team who are all happy to be F+F.

I was thinking about doing that if I ever went SL because the customer I was thinking could be a rep lives just around the corner and I already do all the streets around. F+F reps might be less likely to quit because even though they might not get in as big orders, they don't have to go around in the rain, keep track of houses, bag up brochures etc...

aureol - thanks for confirming what you can/can't do about advertising.

cocktailsavings - if you're in campaign 16 at the moment you can still order from HT17 (except clearance items). When ordering change the campaign number from 16 to 15 (drop-down menu on the left), then put in the codes from HT17 of anything you want. I've just ordered some samples from HT17 because they're back to full price in HT18.
I used to have my Avon turnover (sales) here. They've been removed because it's not appropriate to talk about those kinds of sales as if they're realistic for a new Rep to aim for. :( I signed up at the right time, right place, and was very lucky.
  • As it's a bit 'domp' outside today - a recipe for dealing with soggy brochure bags (although hopefully NOT soggy books) :D

    Have ready:

    Large Beach/Bath towel
Several old hand/tea towels (depending on number of books)
    A roll of kitchen paper

Lay the Bath towel on the floor and tip all your soggy bags onto that.

Put small towel on the table, short edge facing you. You can then put the book on that and double the towel over to blot it.

Finish with kitchen paper to get rid of last damp bits and dry your hands.

i guess what he is on about is does it have network marketing side (nwm).:d

and the answer is yes john it is a mlm/network marketing biz

"avon offers representatives the ability to be involved in the leadership program, avon’s network marketing opportunity, where representatives recruit, mentor and train others to succeed."

this is how this hard working couple make their money.
