I thought ASM's were 'salaried' by AVON? Pretty certain mine is.

Yes, but as with any sales job there are extra rewards for achieving targets on top.

Asms are paid a salary - but they have to get x amount of new reps per campaign, I think it's about 20. Any that are signed up by sales leaders count towards this, which is why some asms are helpful to their sl (like my new one). She said herself she's happy to help sl so that we can sign the reps, she can just sign those that apply through the official site, she still hits the targets, were happy cos our teams are growing, and the reps are happy cos their aren't as many territory issues as she has the time to deal with problems and to stop them spreading. Some asms however will sign people up with just a couple of days left in a camp, not show up for training (as my old one did to me) etc, which gives asms, and Avon, a bad name.

  • Wow I'm really Pleased with my new road I've been allocated!! Went back today to collect some brochures that were not left out initially and out of that 5 got 2 orders and one was for £72!!!! It really spurs you on when you get new customers!!!
  • I only properly signed up with SL last night and so still waiting for account number, can anyone please sent me the electronic link for HT18 as I understand you can order from that when I place my first order for C.16, my rep has only given me HT17. Thanks

Delivery nightmare again! This morning, the delivery driver tried to deliver the Avon order before 7am. My husband leaves for work at 5:45am in the morning. He rents a room from my nan and she doesn't get up early at all. Apparently the delivery driver was banging on the door and ringing the bell loads this morning, woke my dad up who had just got back from a night shift. My dad told the driver to go away (not as polite as that) and that it was unreasonable to try and deliver before 7am. I have no idea whether they will try to deliver again as no card was left! What do I do now? I have tried to sort out a safe place, but Avon just say the place isn't safe enough. There is nowhere for the order to be left that Avon will approve and I can see this being a problem every three weeks.

PS the issue with my dad not taking the delivery in is another long story and I am not happy with him at the moment!

I think its a law that you cant deliver before 7am???

    Hi Lozza

Do Avon have a NWM part of their business or was this just paper talk???

  • Well I have been trying to sort out this delivery issue today and have phoned the depot. The guy there was trying to be as helpful as possible and understood my problem. Unfortunately, he couldn't schedule the delivery for later or even for another day at a different time. I explained the problems with a safe location and he agreed that there wasn't really a safe location.

I have emailed my ASM and she has just replied. I asked if there was another rep nearby that could possibly take my delivery for me, or if she had any ideas for a solution. Her reply was as follows 'I am sure one of your customers who you know well might be able to help.' And that was it. I can't believe she expects one of my customers to take in the delivery for me at 7am in the morning. No other solutions at all either. just that in the message. I am now trying to find other reps on Connects that are near me, but no luck yet.

I would answer your question if you said what your abbreviation actually meant?

What I said was what I meant - asms (employed by Avon) can be good at their jobs, and help reps. Others are rubbish and are more of a hinderance.

I guess what he is on about is does it have network marketing side (NWM).:D

And the answer is yes John it is a mlm/network marketing biz

"Avon offers representatives the ability to be involved in the Leadership program, Avon’s network marketing opportunity, where Representatives recruit, mentor and train others to succeed."

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Avon_Products

This is how this hard working couple make their money.

But it also employs paid sales managers. ASMS.
