    Thanks :)

Just roll ons & body sprays, no deodorants or anti perspirants xx

Hi, I just had a quick look through brochure and no deodorant other than roll-ons. There are body sprays. HTH.

My sales leader came today and sorted me for my first campaign.

I had a few queries maybe you can help.

She said because I lived in a student area she wouldn't recommend canvassing because they wouldn't be in or might not give brochures back? I still think it's worth doing at least a few houses as I know there are a few houses with a few girls living in them that might be interested.
I'm thinking I'll call round in person and ask if they are interested in seeing the latest Avon products?

Also, is delivery estimated? Or can you give a certain time? I'm just worried in case I do get a job and I miss the delivery in my second campaign.

    Thanks!

I think it's a great idea canvassing the area. Students like makeup too and will like the cheap prices from avon. They have families too!

You cannot say when a delivery will be made, it is upto the courier who has a route. They deliver from 6am to 4pm(?) Usually when your driver delivers that will be the approx time he will deliver each delivery.

I have just emailed my ASM to see if she knows of anywhere or anyone nearby that could be my safe place. I don't expect much from her though as the last time I received an email from her, it was two lines and one of those was to say she was on sick leave at the moment.

I just want it sorted that they either just deliver a bit later in the day or if they can't do a bit later on the normal day, then I don't mind waiting a couple of days if I know in advance.

my courier leaves my boxes with my neighbours, and before he knew he could do this, he used to leave them at the nearest Rep's house. Nearest to me.

If you call Avon, they can give you the number of your courier company and you could call them. Ask them if they are able to deliver to another rep or your neighbours, if they are happy to take your delivery.

I didn't have any! Maybe it's because this is only my second campaign, so my SL brought my brochures over.

hmm naughty SL, she could have given them to you, to help you! She would have got them free!

Call her and ask her if you can have them.

Hey can you change the delivery address for just one campaign?? Do you just add a new delivery address?

Yes, you can just change the delivery address for that order. I have mine shipped to my dad when I'm away.

  • And what about the free item thing - like order over £10 and get a free eye/cheek/lip pencil - if one customer orders one product costing £6 and another customer an item costing £6 that together qualify for the free gift my SL has said to order the freebie and either use it as a free gift or for my kit - but what happens then if one of the 2 customers wants to return their item - I'd only have one item and (maybe) the freebie to return? Would you just take the hit yourself in those circumstances given you had a freebie item anyway? Can't see Avon refunding the one item minus the other item and minus the free gift?!

    Yes, they will.

  • Just seen this - very useful thanks. So I can advertise outside my area? Outside of the ASM's area? I have the facility to do so.

I've been careful to say on the posters I've done that I can deliver a brochure if they don't see one already. It's in the first sentence and I wanted to make it clear that I'm not trying to reach people who are already another rep's customers. People have to take the step to contact me and I'm not putting anything through doors that could be confusing when you're already getting a regular brochure from another rep.

There was a thread on Connects about flyers dropped to people's houses that said the same sort of thing (i.e. if you have a rep, sorry to have bothered you, please continue to use them), and there was an overwhelming "No!" to doing that. It seems that putting things through people's doors outside territory is the line not to be crossed (however it's worded), but putting an ad up in your local newsagents is fine.

And then the customers you get through adverts become like your friends and family customers: people who don't live in your territory, but have told you they'd like a book.
I used to have my Avon turnover (sales) here. They've been removed because it's not appropriate to talk about those kinds of sales as if they're realistic for a new Rep to aim for. :( I signed up at the right time, right place, and was very lucky.

I always imagined with student houses that there would usually be someone in. People aren't doing 9-5s. The area I lived in at uni had plenty of people walking the suburban streets during the day - where I live now is non-studenty and really quiet from 9 to when children get back from school. You might find it allows more flexibility. I have to do collections and deliveries in the evenings.

Saying that, my great plan of Sunday collections still meant some reminder notes (about a quarter), and I've still got a few with "second reminders" (exactly the same as the first reminder note) that I couldn't get hold of this evening.

doesn't work like that, you have to search for the books by typing in C1, click on archive and search.

Although when we post links it looks like that is all you need to do.

Ah... I came across a C5 from earlier this year on my travels, though.
